Zhang Mei Ama’s Farm tours

I’ve gone on so many tours around the world and my whole family agrees this was arguably our favorite organized tour ever. We started hiking to the most breathtaking waterfall (truly! and I’ve seen many). I didn’t want to leave. We saw the friendliest animals on the farm and they were well taken care of and the staff was great. The Geopark was such a cool experience to be able to cook food you pick in a natural way! Amazing. And making a scallion pancake to top it off. The only downside was that it was an extremely hot day. Hydrate the night before it case you have a hot day ahead of you. Again, best tour in Taiwan. Xu Qiyang was a very wholesome guide. He sent information ahead of time that was very thorough and throughout the tour in translated bits to give any passenger in any language needed. We will always remember this trip.

This tour was very pleasant and enjoyable. Our tour guide, Kate Chen, was funny, joyful, generous, and extremely informative. The locations we went to were a great experience and Kate always made it very easy to get back to the bus and communicated timelines well. The bubble tea sample was exceptional. We were given insight of the locations visited beforehand and provided wonderful recommendations and maps texted to us. Also, Luodong night market is one of the best night markets I’ve visited in Taiwan. Highly recommend this tour and specifically Kate Chen as the guide.

Onze gids Toku is gewoonweg geweldig! Super deskundig en inzichtelijk over veel dingen met betrekking tot Taiwan. De landbouwscène, de delicatessen en de geschiedenis. Het was zo'n vredige en ontspannende tijd met hem! Hij was ook erg attent en zorgzaam om de plaatsen die we bezoeken handig en comfortabel voor ons te maken. Het was zo'n geweldige tijd!

Ik ging op een dolfijnen kijken & Jangmei Animal Farm tour. Mijn gids Jason was erg vriendelijk en behulpzaam! Ik had geen probleem met communiceren in het Engels. Dolfijnen waren prachtig, het landschap was geweldig, de dieren op de boerderij waren allemaal vriendelijk en schattig. Als je in Taipei verblijft, moet je zeker meedoen aan deze tour, want de shuttlebus is inbegrepen! Ik hoorde dat op maandag veel restaurants gesloten zijn, dus ik nam mijn eigen lunch mee, maar sommige restaurants zijn wel open, dus het is niet nodig om je lunch voor te bereiden.

De tourprijs was betaalbaar en zeker de moeite waard. Ik voelde me niet moe tijdens de reis, omdat alles goed georganiseerd en plezierig was. De plaatsen die we bezochten waren allemaal geweldig, vooral de voorstellingen in het Yilan Traditional Arts Center, de Kavalan Distillery en Jiaoxi. Ik heb er zo van genoten. We kregen ook korting bij de aankoop van producten in de Kavalan-winkel, wat de ervaring nog beter maakte.

The definite highlight of the tour is Kavalan Distillery. The English tour was great - it was quick but very informative and the guide was very friendly and engaging. I wish the alloted time at Kavalan was longer (20-30 minutes), as it felt a bit rushed. The brewing company stop afterwards was unnecessary as there was no tour of the facility or even a basic introduction to the types of beers produced. I would recommend removing this from the itinerary altogether. The rice wine factory stop afterwards was okay - primarily for historical purposes of Yilan region. But also no basic introduction or tour of the facility and its history. Wasted opportunity in my opinion. Exploring historical Shenkeng Old Street was a nice final stop on the tour. Very lovely street with shops, stalls, restaurants, etc. Known for the stinky tofu, so fair warning of the strong unpleasant smell permeating most of the street. But very nostalgic with a beautiful view of the river next to the street.

Love the kavalan whiskey visit. It was an eye opening trip. The environment was pleasant and the whiskey tasting was lovely. There was sufficient time allocated for it and we had enough time to ask the sales questions to get the whiskeys we wanted. The gelato whiskey are a must try. The craft beer visit was interesting too although i would think the alcohol is a little too much and not to my taste but the experience over fun overall. The view up in the tower overlooking the area is fun though. Taiwan Brewery as the last stop was nice. The place was big and the history of it could be seen. The Shaoxing soaked eggs are also a must try. By this time, i had too much alcohol to be able to try any beer here but the recommendation of the 18 days beer by our influencer tour mate was a wonderful recommendation. The old street was a lovely walk down history too.

Op 8 juli 2026 had ik een fantastische KLOOK-reis naar Yehliu Geopark, de oude stad Jiufen, de waterval en de Shifen Sky Lantern-ervaring! Onze gids (Richard) was geweldig: hij deelde zijn kennis over Taiwan en de gebieden die we bezochten, en welke winkels hij het beste vond om thee, ananasgebak, varkensnoedelsoep en Taiwanese worst te kopen – wat erg nuttig was. Richard deed uitstekend werk door ons op tijd te houden, zodat iedereen een geweldige tijd had. De bus was schoon en had airconditioning – wat handig was in de zomerhitte. Ik heb persoonlijk genoten van het oplaten van de Sky Lantern – wauw! Wat een genot!! Het was net die scène in Disney's “Rapunzel”: zoveel lantaarns in de lucht zien. Ik raad deze tour ten zeerste aan EN ik zou hem opnieuw doen! Bedankt Richard voor je geweldige aanbevelingen!
