Hotels in Yamanashi Prefecture

Shuhokaku Kogetsu is definitely one of the best hotels for viewing the inverted reflection of Mount Fuji on Lake Kawaguchiko. Even if the lake is too windy for a clear reflection, you can use the hotel's special small pond to capture the inverted Fuji. The hotel's service and food are also excellent. It's absolutely worth recommending!

Het hotel is net geopend en erg nieuw en schoon, zeker de moeite waard! Hoewel het niet erg groot is, heeft het alles wat je nodig hebt. Een gezin van vier personen sliep op vier bedden op de boven- en onderverdieping. De ruimte was niet erg groot, maar wel schoon en netjes. Je kon echter niet rechtop staan bij het bed op de boven- en onderverdieping, waardoor je soms je hoofd stootte. Het bad was geschikt om in te baden. Het personeel was beleefd en erg vriendelijk. Het ontbijt bestond uit rijstballen of hotdogs. Twee rijstballen per portie waren echt te veel, dus de tweede dag vroegen we om één, om verspilling te voorkomen. Er waren ook veel zelfbedieningsgerechten en drankjes beschikbaar, erg uitgebreid. Bovendien was er bij het ontbijt een groot scherm waarop de Fuji-berg live te zien was. Er is gratis parkeergelegenheid, en als je geen auto hebt, ligt het station Fujisan direct ernaast! Vanuit de kamer kun je het Fuji-Q Highland pretpark zien!

The hotel's mattress was very comfortable, and the public hot spring bath had the perfect water temperature, making for a very relaxing soak. I slept wonderfully afterward. The hotel thoughtfully upgraded us to a room with a view, allowing us to see Mount Fuji from afar, but unfortunately, the weather wasn't good during those days, so we couldn't see the beautiful mountain scenery.

The hotel is close to Kawaguchiko station (15mins walk) and they provide free regular shittle bus from and to the station every 10mins so it is very convenient. Mt Fuji view is visible from the hotel too. Stayed for 2 nights and they also provide free breakfast. There is a Lawson nearby too. The room is just nice for 2 people, is clean and tidy. It is a nice stay!

The hotel has a free parking lot, making it convenient for self-driving. The rooms are clean and fully equipped with amenities, and there is a large public bath on the top floor. The only drawback was that on the last day, when heading to breakfast, we found that the room door would not lock and could be opened with just a turn of the handle without needing a key card. This wasn't an issue before, so it was likely not set properly after housekeeping on the second day. Security definitely needs improvement.

The hotel's location is excellent; you can see Mount Fuji from the window. It's near the Kawaguchiko scenic area, making it a relaxing place for a vacation. However, the room amenities only include a toothbrush and toothpaste, and there isn't even bottled water. I feel this aspect makes the value for money (CP ratio) low for the price.

beautiful hotel with Mt. Fuji view! room was perfect for a family of 4. breakfast was good with a view. staff were friendly and accommodating. hotel had ebikes for rent which we availed on our firsy day. bed and toilet was great too! definitely recommended!👍👍👍

Schoon en ruim. Ik verblijf hier graag. Ontspannend. Met een onsen op het terrein. Tegenover Fuji-Q Highland. De bushalte is direct voor het hotel. Goede lunchbuffet.

So relaxing experience, we needed this after a week running through the subway, temples and neon lights in the cities. Staff is so welcoming and attentive, views from the lake are amazing, and the kaiseki dinner is great. Cheers to Aki who assisted us with the dinner. Baths are great to rest and recharge energy.
