Siem Reap

This is my first time in Cambodia, and I didn't expect that besides Angkor Wat, there would be such a fun activity like a cooking class! 😍 The store arranges for a tuk-tuk to pick us up from the hotel, and we visit the market together to learn about the local ingredients, and then we go to the store to visit their vegetable garden. Thank you, Kong, for your detailed explanation, humor, and friendliness! 👍 I learned a lot while chatting with him while strolling through the market. Next is the Khmer cooking session, where each person can choose to make four dishes, divided into appetizers, main courses, vegetarian dishes, and desserts. Sorya carefully noted everyone's dishes and patiently taught us each dish, what ingredients to use, how much seasoning to add, and how long to cook. Finally, with everyone's cooperation, we completed a rich table of dishes together! 🥳 So delicious, so fun, so fulfilling, and so satisfying! The staff's English is excellent, communication is stress-free, and they can also say some Chinese words, which is really sincere! 🤩 I really strongly recommend friends who come to Siem Reap to experience the Khmer cooking course if they have the opportunity. It's so interesting, you can get close to the local people's lives, and it's very meaningful! 😭

Zoals alle andere recensies al zeggen: als je in Siem Reap bent, moet je deze activiteit zeker doen. Je mag er 5 maken en 1 gratis mee naar huis nemen. Ze verkopen ook andere snuisterijen en prullaria die zo goed gemaakt en schattig zijn. Onze stomme instructeur was ook erg geduldig met ons.

Ik had me ingeschreven voor de avondles en omdat er verder niemand was, kon ik op een leuke manier een-op-een leren hoe ik Cambodjaanse gerechten moest maken. Na de sfeer van de markt te hebben geproefd, maakten we in ongeveer een uur tijd 3 gerechten op de 2e verdieping van het restaurant. De leraar deed bijna alle kruiden, maar het was jammer dat het een beetje zout was, maar over het algemeen was het leuk en heerlijk, dus ik was zeer tevreden.

Mijn vriend en ik hebben een erg leuke dag gehad. We werden aangeschreven en zoals afgesproken bij het hotel opgehaald. Onze gids sprak erg goed Engels en legde ons alles uit. In het begin was het een beetje rommelig, totdat we de traditionele kleding aan konden trekken, omdat we meerdere winkels aangedaan hebben. Make-up en kleding, evenals sieraden, zijn bij de prijs inbegrepen - kapsel helaas niet. Hij heeft ook foto's van ons gemaakt, zodat we geen extra fotograaf nodig hadden, een camera of mobiele telefoon is echter wel nodig, maar dat heeft in de regel iedereen. We zouden Karona en de chauffeur zeker aanbevelen.

the receptionist was nice, attended our needs, able to eat breakfast even late, they accommodated us well, the room is spacious, clean and aesthetic. highly recommended, fair enough for the price and the breakfast is superb. will return if given the chance to be back in seim reap.

We stayed at Hari Hotel and Residences from October 12–15, 2025, and it was honestly one of the best hotel experiences we’ve ever had! From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with genuine smiles and warm hospitality. Miss Danu, the amazing front desk officer, truly stood out. She’s always cheerful, kind, and helpful with anything we needed. She made us feel welcome. We were surprised with a free upgrade to beautiful suites, and it exceeded all our expectations — clean, spacious, cool, and incredibly relaxing. The bed was super comfortable, and the room smelled fresh. The hotel’s ambiance is calm and modern, and you can feel that the staff genuinely care about making your stay memorable. Everyone we met was polite, friendly, and attentive. The location was also great. It’s close to the main attractions but still quiet enough for a good night’s rest. I highly recommend HARI Residence and Spa. From the service to the rooms, it deserves 5 stars and more. We’d stay here next time.

Great location (near nice and good restaurants) and friendly staff. Rooms are spacious and clean. Nice breakfast and really friendly staff. The hotel arranges for tours to Angkor wat and transfers to the airport. Nice pool to cool off in the afternoon after all the sightseeing.

Took a bus with 15 people. The mangrove forest was a particularly interesting activity. Safe as a solo female traveler. I was very impressed with Happy Tear, who memorized all our names after just one introduction and made sure we were always safe. Lucky to meet Happy Tear and the handsome driver. Bus from the hotel - large ferry/boat - walk through the village - sampan ride - sunset view - (additional sampan ride $5.5)
