Siem Reap

This is my first time in Cambodia, and I didn't expect that besides Angkor Wat, there would be such a fun activity like a cooking class! 😍 The store arranges for a tuk-tuk to pick us up from the hotel, and we visit the market together to learn about the local ingredients, and then we go to the store to visit their vegetable garden. Thank you, Kong, for your detailed explanation, humor, and friendliness! 👍 I learned a lot while chatting with him while strolling through the market. Next is the Khmer cooking session, where each person can choose to make four dishes, divided into appetizers, main courses, vegetarian dishes, and desserts. Sorya carefully noted everyone's dishes and patiently taught us each dish, what ingredients to use, how much seasoning to add, and how long to cook. Finally, with everyone's cooperation, we completed a rich table of dishes together! 🥳 So delicious, so fun, so fulfilling, and so satisfying! The staff's English is excellent, communication is stress-free, and they can also say some Chinese words, which is really sincere! 🤩 I really strongly recommend friends who come to Siem Reap to experience the Khmer cooking course if they have the opportunity. It's so interesting, you can get close to the local people's lives, and it's very meaningful! 😭

as all the other reviews say, if you’re in siem reap, please do come and do this activity. you’ll get to make 5 and bring home 1 for free. they also sell other trinkets and knick knacks that are so well crafted and cute. our mute instructor was very patient as well with us.

I signed up for the evening class, and since there was no one else, I was able to enjoy a one-on-one lesson on how to make Cambodian food. After experiencing the atmosphere of the market, we made three dishes in about an hour on the second floor of the restaurant. The instructor did most of the seasoning, which was a little salty, which was a bit of a shame, but overall it was fun and delicious, so I was very satisfied.

My friend and I had a very nice day. We were contacted and picked up at the hotel as agreed. Our tour guide spoke very good English and explained everything to us. At the beginning it was a bit chaotic until we could put on the traditional clothes, because we went to several shops. Make-up, clothing and jewelry are included in the price - hairstyle unfortunately not. He also took photos of us, so we didn't need an extra photographer, but a camera or cell phone is required, but everyone usually has that. We would definitely recommend Karona and the driver.

the receptionist was nice, attended our needs, able to eat breakfast even late, they accommodated us well, the room is spacious, clean and aesthetic. highly recommended, fair enough for the price and the breakfast is superb. will return if given the chance to be back in seim reap.

We stayed at Hari Hotel and Residences from October 12–15, 2025, and it was honestly one of the best hotel experiences we’ve ever had! From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with genuine smiles and warm hospitality. Miss Danu, the amazing front desk officer, truly stood out. She’s always cheerful, kind, and helpful with anything we needed. She made us feel welcome. We were surprised with a free upgrade to beautiful suites, and it exceeded all our expectations — clean, spacious, cool, and incredibly relaxing. The bed was super comfortable, and the room smelled fresh. The hotel’s ambiance is calm and modern, and you can feel that the staff genuinely care about making your stay memorable. Everyone we met was polite, friendly, and attentive. The location was also great. It’s close to the main attractions but still quiet enough for a good night’s rest. I highly recommend HARI Residence and Spa. From the service to the rooms, it deserves 5 stars and more. We’d stay here next time.

Great location (near nice and good restaurants) and friendly staff. Rooms are spacious and clean. Nice breakfast and really friendly staff. The hotel arranges for tours to Angkor wat and transfers to the airport. Nice pool to cool off in the afternoon after all the sightseeing.

We really enjoyed this tour because it offered a very different perspective of Siem Reap beyond the temples. Riding through the countryside, we were able to see rice fields up close and experience a lot of local daily life, which made the tour feel very authentic. The sunset was absolutely beautiful and definitely one of the highlights. That said, as a family traveling with children, I feel it’s important to share an honest note about safety. We took our daughters, and while the experience was amazing, I wouldn’t say it’s ideal for young kids. To reach the most interesting spots, we had to cross paved roads with fast-moving cars and trucks, and the dirt roads had many holes, which increases the risk of accidents. I would absolutely do this tour again—but next time, without the children. It’s a ride that’s truly worth it for the unique viewpoint it offers of the region. Our guide was extremely attentive, kind, and made us feel very well taken care of throughout the experience.
