Bucket list ✅ Pottery Class. This is a must experience when you visit Cambodia. When you book this, and you want to keep what you made at least book 2 days before your flight. You'll get it the following day around 6pm. I'm thankful, even though I cannot get what I made, they still gave me something to take home. The staff are very accommodating. Definitely recommend this activity and place. Thank you.
I was the only guest for my allotted time, so I had dedicated attention. The staff were very thorough, from the tuk tuk driver who picked me up to the mute ceramics instructor who patiently supported my terrible pottery skills. the shop has terrific pieces, and they can ship it home for you. I asked to have a beer whilst decorating my bowl & vase. not a problem! A great & relaxing end to a big day at the temples!
This is a fun class where we experienced making clay bowl, plate, cup, vase and pot in the traditional way. The instructors started with a demo which looks easy but once we start it can actually be quite tricky and difficult. Luckily, the instructor helped us to make our work looks wonderful. The school employs deaf people who communicate via miming. There are also posters detailing each step of the process. This class left us with a lot of respect for the artisans who create things with clay. Highly recommend!
My favorite tour!! Tuktuk driver picked me up on time. I had a joint class with other travellers as well. The teachers were friendly & accommodating. I’ve made 5 pottery pieces. You are able to bring home one for free. There will be an additional 5usd if you would like more! They will let you know when you collect your pottery pieces after that :)
as all the other reviews say, if you’re in siem reap, please do come and do this activity. you’ll get to make 5 and bring home 1 for free. they also sell other trinkets and knick knacks that are so well crafted and cute. our mute instructor was very patient as well with us.
A must-try experience in Cambodia is attending a pottery class to learn about Khmer ceramic art. It’s a wonderful way to immerse yourself in the country’s rich cultural heritage and express your creativity through hands-on experience. we really enjoyed this activity and inspired with their employees
A truly unique experience to learn the art of making pottery. But make sure you plan ahead as they require min 24 hours to fire the pottery pieces you make upon completion of class.
Great experience to try, Khmer pottery if famous throughout S.E asia. The team here are very welcoming professional and friendly. Hands on instruction and even more impressive as our tutor was deaf and mute. can't miss if you're in Siem reap. even if you are terrible at it, there's plenty of ready made ceramics and gifts which support the locals.
Absolutely LOVED this excursion! Polly, my instructor was friendly and patient and Kim Lan at reception was lovely! The atmosphere was beautiful too. I got to make 5 pieces and chose one to keep. You can pay a little extra and keep as many as you want so of course I took all five! It's a really fun way to spend a few hours and I plan on returning to take another class or 2 while I'm staying in Siem Reap!
A really wonderful experience to do with your family and loved ones. Interaction with the deaf and mute instructors were also easy. They offered to send our pieces to Phnom Penh at at cheaper rate (compare to USD30+ to ship home) but we didn't take it as we're staying at an Airbnb and there's no one to collect it. It's my favourite experience in Siem Reap.
