National Archaeological Museum of Athens-turer

great start to finish 9am on time and reached Athens station 11pm~. Shoutout to Yanis our driver, safe driver and Vassou our tour guide, she was friendly and knowledgeable!! saw 3 monasteries inside and they even brought us to view the 4th one although from outside as that closes early but it’s fine .. it’s the first monastery built and the most gorgeous one! worth the steps to visit all 3 monasteries. lunch was great too. only downside was the dinner which was very expensive , guess typical tourist trap euro20 for 2 souvlaki skewers w fries, salad and a water bottle. there’s other food options which I overheard other passengers complaining about the prices they had to pay as well. but other than that, beautiful trip! enough toilet breaks w toilets in the monasteries we visited

Guiden var veldig grundig, og turen gikk knirkefritt fra hentestedet! Vi fikk god informasjon om Akropolis og gjenstandene i museet.

Denne turen til Kapp Sounion er et must når du besøker Athen! Kjøreturen langs kysten er fantastisk (takket være sjåfør Panos), og Poseidontempelet ved solnedgang er ren magi. Guiden vår, Maria, var fenomenal. Hun var vennlig, entusiastisk, svært organisert og en fantastisk historieforteller som vekket mytene og historien til live. Hun sørget for at vi hadde god tid til å nyte stranden og utsikten uten å føle oss stresset. Det var en feilfri tur, og jeg anbefaler denne turen på det sterkeste til alle!

Utsikten over Meteora overgikk langt mine forventninger. Landskapet er helt fantastisk, og klostrene som ligger på toppen av de ruvende fjellformasjonene gjør dette til et uforglemmelig reisemål. Det er definitivt verdt et besøk.

Irene K and our driver George were an absolute pleasure! George is an excellent photographer with a wonderful sense of humour and Irene K was truly fantastic. she is extremely knowledgeable, flexible and adaptable to peoples interests and shared so much history and context that was truly valuable. Having such a qualified and experienced archaeologist as a guide to such ancient and important spaces was a real blessing! as for the trip itself, it was perfectly paced really such a special experience! I am so glad that I joined this tour and highly recommend it. The only negative thing I can think of was that the food at the restaurant for lunch on the first day was just okay and a little overpriced. Perhaps to tour company might consider some other locations to stop for lunch. Even just a smaller local spot considering the group itself was only small.

we really enjoyed our tour! our tour guide was great (unfortunately I’ve forgotten her name). she was patient and attentive to all group members. The pace of the tour was good and she was very knowledgeable about the history of the site and Athens in general. My shy son even felt comfortable asking her questions.

I participated in a 2-day, 1-night tour. For the hotel in Kalambaka, I chose the 4-star option, but I ended up being the only person placed in a large hotel on the outskirts of town. It took about a 20-minute walk to get to the town center. Given this, I would have rather stayed at a 3-star hotel in the center of town. I was satisfied with the tour content, though. The tour to see the sunset in Meteora was amazing. The next day, due to a misunderstanding on my part, I ended up booking a hiking tour. While this turned out to be nice in its own way, I wish I had chosen the option to visit more monasteries instead. Since it is far from Athens, I am glad I didn't do a day trip. If I am being picky, the pickup time on the second day could have been a little earlier.

Å ta byrundtur i Athen med buss og Akropolis-vandring var den beste avgjørelsen jeg tok. Haha~ Guiden vår Dimitris delte mange historiske fakta, og det var gøy. Sjåføren Yanis navigerte smidig gjennom sentrum og slapp oss av ved Akropolis. Attraksjonen kan være veldig folksom og litt bratt, men guiden håndterte oss godt og sørget for at ingen ble etterlatt. Bestill denne turen – den får de gamle ruinene til å våkne til liv på en måte ingen tekst kan gjenskape!
