National Archaeological Museum of Athens ture

great start to finish 9am on time and reached Athens station 11pm~. Shoutout to Yanis our driver, safe driver and Vassou our tour guide, she was friendly and knowledgeable!! saw 3 monasteries inside and they even brought us to view the 4th one although from outside as that closes early but it’s fine .. it’s the first monastery built and the most gorgeous one! worth the steps to visit all 3 monasteries. lunch was great too. only downside was the dinner which was very expensive , guess typical tourist trap euro20 for 2 souvlaki skewers w fries, salad and a water bottle. there’s other food options which I overheard other passengers complaining about the prices they had to pay as well. but other than that, beautiful trip! enough toilet breaks w toilets in the monasteries we visited

Guiden var meget omfattende, og turen forløb problemfrit fra afhentningsstedet! Vi fik god information om Akropolis og artefakterne på museet.

Vores turguide Angela var fantastisk, hun forklarede alt i stor detalje og var meget sjov!

Denne tur til Kap Sounion er et must, når du besøger Athen! Køreturen langs kysten er betagende (tak til chauffør Panos), og Poseidontemplet ved solnedgang er ren magi. Vores guide, Maria, var fænomenal. Hun var venlig, entusiastisk, meget organiseret og en fantastisk historiefortæller, der bragte myterne og historien til live. Hun sørgede for, at vi havde masser af tid til at nyde stranden og udsigten uden at føle os forhastede. Det var en fejlfri tur, og jeg kan varmt anbefale denne tur til alle!

Irene K and our driver George were an absolute pleasure! George is an excellent photographer with a wonderful sense of humour and Irene K was truly fantastic. she is extremely knowledgeable, flexible and adaptable to peoples interests and shared so much history and context that was truly valuable. Having such a qualified and experienced archaeologist as a guide to such ancient and important spaces was a real blessing! as for the trip itself, it was perfectly paced really such a special experience! I am so glad that I joined this tour and highly recommend it. The only negative thing I can think of was that the food at the restaurant for lunch on the first day was just okay and a little overpriced. Perhaps to tour company might consider some other locations to stop for lunch. Even just a smaller local spot considering the group itself was only small.

we really enjoyed our tour! our tour guide was great (unfortunately I’ve forgotten her name). she was patient and attentive to all group members. The pace of the tour was good and she was very knowledgeable about the history of the site and Athens in general. My shy son even felt comfortable asking her questions.

Udsigten over Meteora overgik langt mine forventninger. Landskabet er helt fantastisk, og klostrene, der ligger på toppen af de tårnhøje klippeformationer, gør dette til en uforglemmelig destination. Det er bestemt et besøg værd. Den eneste ulempe er, at da Meteora er ret afsidesliggende, er den tid, der er afsat til hvert kloster, temmelig kort. Jeg ville have elsket at bruge mere tid på at udforske og værdsætte hvert enkelt.

I participated in a 2-day, 1-night tour. For the hotel in Kalambaka, I chose the 4-star option, but I ended up being the only person placed in a large hotel on the outskirts of town. It took about a 20-minute walk to get to the town center. Given this, I would have rather stayed at a 3-star hotel in the center of town. I was satisfied with the tour content, though. The tour to see the sunset in Meteora was amazing. The next day, due to a misunderstanding on my part, I ended up booking a hiking tour. While this turned out to be nice in its own way, I wish I had chosen the option to visit more monasteries instead. Since it is far from Athens, I am glad I didn't do a day trip. If I am being picky, the pickup time on the second day could have been a little earlier.

At tage på byrundtur i Athen med bus og gåtur på Akropolis var den bedste beslutning, jeg tog. Haha~ Vores guide Dimitris delte mange historiske fakta, og det var sjovt. Chaufføren Yanis navigerede smidigt gennem byens centrum og satte os af ved Akropolis. Attraktionen kan være meget overfyldt og lidt stejl, men guiden styrede os godt og sikrede, at ingen blev efterladt. Book denne tur – den får de gamle ruiner til at komme til live på en måde, ingen tekst kan genskabe!
