our guide (from wavehunter) was da best! he did not just paddle us downstream, but played many fun games, showed us good spots to jump from the rocks and swim, and did not rush to finish! though it was the dry season and the rapids were only at grade 1, we had a fantastic time and highly recommend wavehunters for all levels of thrill seekers. our photographer was great too, standing in the water at times and the pictures were wonderful. thanks!

Rafting is a lot of fun! It's only slightly thrilling, so even elementary school kids can participate. The tour guide is also very talkative. Although we didn't get to go on the firefly tour in the end due to heavy rain, at least we took a boat trip to see the monkeys (not proboscis monkeys). The tour guide tried hard to explain in English, but because the accent was a bit heavy, I only understood about 70%, but the tour guide would observe our reactions and explain it a few more times, which is a good opportunity to practice spoken English and listening skills.

The only downside was the weather; due to a long drought, the water level was too low for a truly thrilling rafting experience. However, I highly recommend our coach, Ah Ming! Not only is he multilingual, but he also has 23 years of experience and is excellent at keeping the atmosphere lively. He had our group of 10 laughing constantly! He knows the Kiulu River's safe and dangerous zones intimately, allowing us to experience floating in the river in a safe area. We hope to come back again during peak season when the water levels are higher for another experience! 👍

Idegenvezetőnk, Jerry pontos volt, és végig jó hangulatot teremtett a túra során. Bár én voltam az egyetlen, aki beszélt angolul, és a legtöbb résztvevő kínai volt, ő angolul is magyarázott, hogy megértsem, és gondoskodott róla, hogy minden rendben legyen. Nagyon jól éreztem magam és élveztem a túrát. Készségesen készített képeket és videókat is. Szóval egyedül utazóként sem lenne nehéz dolga ❤️ Nagyon ajánlom Jerry idegenvezető szolgáltatásait! Ian, our tour guide, was very informative, cool and accommodating. He always makes sure you are not felt alone in the group. He’ll make you feel you are belong. He constantly giving us the history of the place. This tour is a MUST be on your list tour. Getting away from the city and feeling the cool weather. The Mount Kota was breathtaking. The hanging bridge was great and also the Desa Dairy Farm. We wanted to take the cafe in Desa Farm but we didn’t have much time.

Great hiking experience! Our guide was punctual, very patient with my mum, and always made sure we felt safe throughout the journey. Really appreciated the care and professionalism—made the whole trip enjoyable and stress-free.

A delightful little place to visit, it’s well-kept and plenty of photo opp although photography is not allowed inside (it’s okay). The souvenir shop is nice too.
