This is an excellent hotel for those who would like to eat out and go to nearby Onsen as the hotel does not have Onsen. The hotel was modern Japanese feel, designed by a local architect. It sits in a very quiet location and about 10 minutes walk to the jigoku area.

The property is lovely, different and very attractive in the trees. The room was large and in a nice style. The lady on reception when we arrived couldn't have been more helpful and spoke excellent English also. Walking is easy to the Hells from there but far from the beach so a bus or car to there is needed. Lovely breakfast sandwiches delivered the night before was very nice indeed. Very comfortable bed. Issues - we had hot water in the evening for a bath, but when I needed a shower in the morning it was stone cold. The hotel emailed me saying there were instructions, but there simply was no hot water as I know how to use a shower and taps. The air con did nothing. Again, they said there were instructions, but we have been in 10 hotels so far each with different machines with no trouble, so it was hot and stuffy. A projector in the room worked for about 4 mins then went blank every few minutes and came back, so if you wanted to use it, it was frustrating and difficult. Noone on reception after 8pm or in the morning so I had to leave a note, but they did respond to that. Overall a good, comfortable room, but too hot and no shower spoilt the whole experience for me.

The room was very spacious and I found it very quiet. However, the gravel path from the parking lot to the lobby was difficult to walk with luggage.
