Stayed in two different rooms here - both were comfy but neither particularly clean. not gross or anything, but not clean. Read marks on the walls and carpet and furniture, etc. Otherwise great spot. Awesome onsen with view of canal and close to many good restaurants and activities. staff was beyond friendly and accommodating.

It’s near the station than other hotels in Otaru. Won’t give you hard time in walking especially if it’s winter season and the road is covered with snow.

The best thing about this hotel is that it's just next to the canal. Next is the spacious canal facing room, which is so useful since canal is always full of tourist. Appreciate the little balcony. breakfast: a bit limited n repetitive but I appreciate the Hokkaido and ainu cuisine touch which is not often in other hotels I went. Bathroom is quite cold so is always good to request for the portable heater. Hope they will upgrade the bathroom soon, is very big but a lot of wear n tear.

Great location even though need to walk less than 10 mins to the Otaru JR station. Hotel room furnitures are old but overall the room is clean.

Good location to explore Otaru. The hotel was also clean and has good service. The only drawback is that if you drive a rental car, it may be difficult to secure a hotel parking lot although there should be more than sufficient public carpark spaces behind it.
