Varasimme matkan neljälle aikuiselle ja neljälle lapselle perheemme ja ystäväperheen kanssa. Meidät noudettiin hotellilta klo 7.30, ja sieltä ajoimme 2,5 tuntia Kinabalun vuoren näköalapaikalle. Tie Kota Kinabalun kaupungista Kinabalun vuorelle oli ruuhkainen, mutta kuljettajamme jousti lasten vessataukojen suhteen. Otimme paljon kuvia näköalapaikalla, ja sieltä jatkoimme Desan maatilalle 🐮. Pysähdyimme matkalla paikallisessa hedelmäkaupassa. Opas Jeff esitteli meille hedelmiä, joita emme olleet koskaan nähneet, ja ostimme 1–2 kappaletta kutakin maisteltavaksi 🥭. Olimme innoissamme hedelmistä, joista emme olleet koskaan kuulleet tai joita emme olleet koskaan nähneet, kuten omenahyytelö, avokadojuusto ja käärmeenkuorihedelmä 😆. Avokadojuusto maistui makealta höyrytetyltä kurpitsalta, ja sen rakenne ja maku eivät muistuttaneet hedelmää! Se oli herkullista 😋. Sieltä jatkoimme Desan maatilalle. Koska se sijaitsee noin 1 500 metrin korkeudessa, siellä ei ollut liian kuuma, vaan miellyttävä! Sää oli kirkas ja pilvetön, ja saimme otettua paljon upeita kuvia Kinabalun vuoren jyrkät harjanteet taustalla. Näimme jopa halon auringon ympärillä ☀️. Jeff opasti meitä sujuvasti suositeltaviin kohteisiin, kuten jäätelön syöntiin ja vasikoiden ja vuohien ruokintaan. Jeff, joka on myös neljän lapsen isä, tuntee TikTokin hauskat videot, ja lapset olivat innoissaan, kun saimme kuvata hauskoja videoita perheen kanssa, ja olimme erittäin tyytyväisiä 😁. Sen jälkeen söimme lounasta läheisessä ravintolassa ja lähdimme rafflesia-kukkia katsomaan 🌺. Olimme huolissamme, näkisimmekö niitä, koska ne kukkivat vain 5–7 päivää vuodessa, mutta näimme kaksi kukkivaa rafflesiaa ✌️. Näimme myös nuppuja ja kuihtuneita kukkia, mikä oli ainutlaatuinen kokemus, jonka voi kokea vain paikan päällä 👌. Lähellä oli myös kaakao- ja durianpuita! Durianit kasvavat niin korkeissa puissa 😳. Kello oli jo yli 15.00. Lapset alkoivat väsyä, joten päätimme muuttaa matkasuunnitelmaa ja lähteä takaisin. Aamun ruuhka oli ollut pitkä 💦. Paluumatkalla Kinabalun vuoren huipulla oli outo pilvi. Jeff kertoi, että se oli harvinainen näky 👌. Paluumatkalla oli myös hieman ruuhkaa, mutta pääsimme hotellille noin klo 19.00. Paluun oli tarkoitus olla klo 17.30, mutta tie oli ruuhkainen kesälomakauden vuoksi. Suosittelen ottamaan mukaan hieman enemmän käteistä, sillä rafflesia-alueella on hyttyskarkotetta ja joissakin lounasravintoloissa ei voi käyttää luottokorttia. Roy oli erittäin ystävällinen ja avulias. Koska latvuskäytävä on ollut suljettuna viime kuukaudet, se korvattiin polkuretkeilyllä vesiputoukselle.

Just finished a one-day tour of Mount Kinabalu in Sabah, and I have to give a huge shoutout to our private guide, Xiaoyang (William)! 👍🏻🙋🏻‍♂️ I originally thought the long drive to and from the mountain would be exhausting and boring, but Xiaoyang was a fantastic conversationalist along the way. He shared a lot of local history and culture of Sabah, guided us on a short trek up the mountain, and even stopped to introduce us to unique plants we saw along the trail 🌴🍃. The content was engaging and fun, and time flew by. 🥹 We were super lucky to catch a glimpse of Mount Kinabalu and the Rafflesia! The guide truly put a lot of thought into arranging everything for us, ensuring the entire itinerary ran smoothly, and even treated us to Malaysian cuisine for lunch 🍱! He took such good care of us throughout the trip, constantly reminding everyone to stay safe. The biggest surprise was his photography skills 📸. His composition was top-notch, and he was incredibly patient, taking tons of gorgeous photos for us to keep as memories. There was non-stop laughter all day, and the atmosphere was very relaxed. 😆✨ Meeting Xiaoyang this time really added so much value to the whole trip! 🩷 If any of our friends go to Sabah in the future, or if we visit again ourselves, we will definitely ask him to be our guide again! 😍

The itinerary was very well organized, allowing us to visit several spots in one trip. The duration at each stop was just right, so it never felt rushed. Our first stop was the observation deck, where there were many fruit vendors nearby selling fresh and delicious fruits! The best part was realizing later in the city that the fruit here was actually the cheapest! The farm was also a lot of fun; for 20 Malaysian Ringgit, you could feed milk and forage to the animals, and the yogurt and milk ice cream were amazing! The fish spa was very entertaining, and the tour guide taught us feeding techniques. It was a bit scary at first. Lunch was better than expected, featuring vegetables, meat, and fruit. The tour included a complimentary ATV experience, allowing us to ride through the wilderness. We were very lucky to see a Rafflesia flower this time; although it had been blooming for five days and was starting to turn dark, there was still an unopened bud right next to it. On the way back, we had roasted wild boar and pulled tea. The roasted wild boar is highly recommended! The two of us shared a portion and were left wanting more. Overall, the value for money is extremely high, and I highly recommend it!

Itinerary: The length was just right. Safety: Very safe. Scenery: Diverse, and we even saw the Rafflesia flower, enjoyed fish spa by the lake, and tasted wild boar meat. It was very interesting and unforgettable. Facilities provided: ATV and skydiving safety measures were excellent, making it very fun and exciting. A fulfilling day with a packed schedule. Tour Guide: Xiao Mei was professional, attentive, and patient, following up throughout the trip and being very thoughtful. Lunch: Freshly cooked and delicious, with cold drinks and fresh fruit. Very good. The day before departure, all important information was sent via WhatsApp, which was very thoughtful. It was a great travel experience. The one-day Mount Kinabalu tour includes a variety of activities and is a must-do for anyone visiting Sabah. Highly recommended.

super recommended!! the staff were very helpful and friendly. u can even make payment on the spot which is really convenient. my friend, who has tried paragliding with another company before recommended this one over the first company she went with. they even took photos of me without having to ask and i got the best shot up in the sky! kudos to the team for going the extra mile. highly recommended and i will definitely doing this again!!! 👏🏻

Kaikki oli erittäin hyvin järjestettyä ja organisoitua. Aivan noudosta vaelluksen loppuun asti. Majoituspaikka Kinabalun puistossa oli fantastinen. Vaellus oli kuitenkin melko rankka, erityisesti kello 2.30 aamulla huipulle tehty osuus. Jouduimme maksamaan lisämaksua oppaalle ja kuljetuksesta takaisin majoitukseen, koska ylitimme sovitun ajan.

Thank you so much for an incredible trip up Mount Kinabalu. Doing the Walk the Torq route was easily the best part of the climb. The views were unreal and the gear felt completely secure.As a solo hiker, I felt incredibly well taken care of the entire time. A massive thank you to both of my amazing guides! My mountain guide was fantastic at pacing me to the summit, and my via ferrata guide was professional and made me feel 100% safe on the sheer rock face.I had such a memorable experience that if I have the chance to come back, I definitely want to challenge myself with the long Low's Peak Circuit next time. 💪🏻

Mount Sossodikon offers incredibly beautiful views and is great value for money. The ATV ride is a lot of fun. It would be safer for beginners to practice riding before setting off. There's road construction along the way with many engineering vehicles; the mountain road is steep, and there are no guardrails, making it both thrilling and a bit scary. However, the local residents are very friendly and wave as you pass by.
