Things to do in Ranau

Everything is very well arranged and organised. Right from picked up till end of hike. The accommodation lodge at Kinabalu park was fantastic. The hike was rather tough though especially the one at 2.30am to the summit. Need to pay addition to the guide and transport back to accommodation as exceeded the stipulated time though.

Solo climb mount kinabalu with one guide. Paid more but had a wonderful experience and everything goes smoothly.

Our Tour Guide Jerry was punctual with good vibes throughout our tour. Although I'm the only one who speaks English and most of the joiners were Chinese, he also explained in English so that I will be able to understand and makes sure that all is good. I had a so much fun and enjoyed the tour. He's also willing to take a picture and video on you. So going as solo joiner would not be difficulty ❤️ Highly recommended for Tourguide Jerry's service! Ian, our tour guide, was very informative, cool and accommodating. He always makes sure you are not felt alone in the group. He’ll make you feel you are belong. He constantly giving us the history of the place. This tour is a MUST be on your list tour. Getting away from the city and feeling the cool weather. The Mount Kota was breathtaking. The hanging bridge was great and also the Desa Dairy Farm. We wanted to take the cafe in Desa Farm but we didn’t have much time.

Very nice tour, managed to see a lot of cows at Desa cattle farm and there’s a free small milk carton included. Had a heartwarming meal and were lucky enough to see the rafflesia and different rare species of orchid blooming. A lot of nice scenery from the top of the mountain. The tour guide Michael is also very knowledgeable and passionate about the different plant species on the mountain, especially the orchids. Good and relaxing day trip to have as the bus will pick up from the hotel and return back to the city.

The tour guide and driver were very considerate, perfectly taking into account the Lunar New Year's traffic conditions and flexibly adjusting the itinerary to keep travel time to a minimum. The outbound and return journeys were each about two hours, and the traffic did not affect everyone's mood for fun at all. The ATV off-road experience was very exciting and fun, and both adults and children enjoyed it. After arriving at the cattle farm, the cheese ice cream at the cattle farm was absolutely delicious! The overall feeling is that the timing, location, and people were all perfect, and everything was absolutely ideal.

This tour allowed us to fully enjoy the nature around Mount Kinabalu. We were worried about seeing a Rafflesia, but fortunately, during the tour, we received information that there were two Rafflesia flowers blooming, and our guide took us to see them. We were able to see both beautifully bloomed flowers and those that were starting to wither, and we learned a lot about their growth process. After lunch, I felt unwell, possibly due to heatstroke, and couldn't participate in the afternoon activities, but the guide and driver kindly let me rest in the car. Thank you very much.

A truly immersive experience! Our group had ten people, and there were staff members at both the front and back. There was one long downhill stretch that was awesome, going straight down, so exciting! The lunch included in the package was also very generous, and the cream shrimp was delicious and highly recommended 👍🏻
