Kinabalun vuori ja Desa Farmin kokopäiväretki

Ian, our tour guide, was very informative, cool and accommodating. He always makes sure you are not felt alone in the group. He’ll make you feel you are belong. He constantly giving us the history of the place. This tour is a MUST be on your list tour. Getting away from the city and feeling the cool weather. The Mount Kota was breathtaking. The hanging bridge was great and also the Desa Dairy Farm. We wanted to take the cafe in Desa Farm but we didn’t have much time.

Matkaopas Sam (herra Mok) oli erittäin ammattitaitoinen. Reitin nähtävyyksien lisäksi hän auttoi järjestämään rafflesian katselun, maistelimme alkuperäiskansojen tyyliin valmistettua paahdettua possua ja leikimme valtavien koikarppien kanssa. Alkuperäiseen matkaohjelmaan kuului Kinabalun vuoren näköalapaikka, DESA-maitotila ja riippusilta. Aika salliessa matkaa voitiin rikastuttaa lisäämällä joitakin lähialueen nähtävyyksiä. Kinabalun vuoren huippu on pilvien yläpuolella, joten se peittyy helposti, ja koko panoraaman näkeminen riippuu tuurista. DESA-maitotilalla voi ostaa RM2:lla ruohoa syöttääkseen vasikoita ja lampaita, mikä on erittäin hauskaa. Sam-oppaan selitysten ansiosta saimme selkeän käsityksen Kinabalun vuoren ekologiasta, rafflesian kasvusta, Sabahin historiasta ja kulttuurista sekä kiinalaisten kehityksestä, mikä oli lisäetu. Kiitos järjestelyistä, jotka tekivät Kinabalun-matkastamme unohtumattoman. Vaikka emme nähneet Kinabalun vuoren koko kuvaa näköalapaikalta sinä päivänä, onnistuimme ottamaan kuvan lentokoneesta seuraavana päivänä, mikä korvasi hieman pettymystä, haha!

Hyvin suunniteltu matkaohjelma ja erinomainen kommunikaatio kuljettajamme, herra Lain, ja matkanjärjestäjän kanssa. Yksityinen kierros, jossa kuljettaja oli käytettävissä koko päivän, ei ollut varsinaisesti opas, mutta hän oli avulias osoittamaan tärkeitä maamerkkejä ja kertomaan, mitä kussakin paikassa kannattaa tehdä. Muuten se oli suhteellisen itseohjattu, mikä oli ihan hyvä, koska useimmat asiat olivat itsestään selviä. Varaudu pitkään päivään, sillä Kundasang on melko kaukana KK:sta. Näimme Tamparulin sillan – siellä oli lyhyt esittely paikallisesta perinteisestä musiikista (lahjoituspohjainen) ennen sillan ylittämistä, loistava paikka valokuvien ottamiseen ja soittimien kokeilemiseen. Pekan Nabalussa kokeilimme paikallisia hedelmiä, välipaloja ja ostimme käsitöitä. Desa Dairy Farm (sisäänpääsy ei sisälly hintaan, 10 RM paikallisille, 20 RM ulkomaalaisille, sisältäen ilmaisen maitopurkin) on upea. Lypsyprosessi on kuitenkin klo 14.00, emmekä jääneet sitä katsomaan (paikan päällä on hyvä video siitä), ja lisämaksusta voi syöttää vasikoita ja vuohia. Kokeile ehdottomasti jäätelöä siellä ja Sinalau Bakasia paluumatkalla! Suosittelen lämpimästi.

Desa Farm was absolutely beautiful — the cool weather, scenic views and farm atmosphere made it a great place to unwind and take photos. It really felt like a peaceful escape from the city. Pekan Nabalu was also a highlight trying the local fruits and taking photos of Mt Kinabalu. Tamparuli bridge, which added a fun and unique experience to the trip.Our driver Rex was friendly, punctual and knowledgeable, making the journey smooth and enjoyable. Since it was a private tour, we could move at our own pace without feeling rushed, which made the experience even better. Overall, this tour exceeded our expectations. Highly recommend this to anyone who visiting.

Highly recommended tour!! The driver- Pan Shiew Bin has been very knowledgeable and understanding, he was able to ensure the long car rides weren't boring. Pls opt in for the private tour as the tour duration is just right, we are able to chill and relax at each places without having the driver to rush us. Mr Pan also make a pit stop for us to get the famous sinalau bakas (smoked wild boar) and fruit stall to get “Sabah fruit” although it is not part of the itinerary. My family and I have enjoyed a full day tour at Mt Kk region with him

Jai and Selina was very accommodating. one of our member had food poisoning the day before and after discussion last minute (literally 30 mins before) they were ok to postpone the trip to later date at a small penalty fee. Jai is safe driver and knowledgeable guide, he was accommodating as well, always showing us around and helping with photography. We’re 3 adults 3 child so the 3 locations was just nice for us in terms of stops. We had sufficient photo op, experienced feeding the calf, tasting some desa farm yogurt, etc.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Wonderful Tour Experience – Highly Recommended! I joined the Desa Farm & Sabah's National Park Private Day Tour and had an absolutely amazing experience. The scenery was stunning throughout the journey, and every stop offered something unique and memorable. A major highlight of the tour was our guide, Mr. Ban. He is incredibly knowledgeable, especially in botany and the history of Sabah, and he shared many fascinating insights along the way. On top of that, he is humorous, approachable, and provides clients with great emotional value — always making the group feel comfortable, motivated, and well taken care of. He is also very helpful, hardworking, and polite, which made the entire experience even more enjoyable. Overall, it was a fantastic day trip, and I’m really glad I joined. Highly recommended to anyone visiting Sabah!

We booked a private tour and had such a great time visiting Pekan Nabalu, Tamparuli Bridge, and Desa Dairy Farm in Kundasang. The ride was super comfortable and pleasant. We skipped the National Park since we were traveling with our elderly mom, but still had an amazing day. At Pekan Nabalu, we were lucky to catch a clear view of Mount Kinabalu — sometimes it’s hidden behind clouds! It’s also a nice spot to grab some souvenirs. Tamparuli Bridge might just be a suspension bridge, but the view and the local legend make it worth a stop. Our last stop at Desa Dairy Farm was beautiful — loved the cool breeze, hillside views, and getting to feed the calves and goats. Our guide, Vincent, was soft-spoken, informative, and super helpful. We really enjoyed his company. Highly recommended!

The tour was excellent with our guide michelle chong who took care of us and gave us recommendations around kinabalu. would have been spectacular if the clouds didnt cover mt kinabalu. the farm was good fun and the ice cream and milk there was amazing! very worthy tour!

our driver Mr. Lai Nyap Tsung is very enthusiast to take our family photos and explain different places. He is very approachable and he knows where to buy cheap product and very nice Sinalau Bakas😊we enjoyed our full day tour last 19 August 2025.
