Sun Moon Lake and Gaomei Wetlands Tour from Taichung (Hotel Pick Up)

our tour guid and driver was very passionate. The language barrier did not stop him for being a good guide. sample number 1: on time during pickup. sample number 2: during lunch time, when he was eating on an eatery, when he saw us he asked us if we wanted to eat and helped us order. And lastly taking effort to use mobile to translate and communicate with us. thank you very much

This tour is easy enough that you can return on time even if you only understand Chinese numbers. It's a shame you can't understand the location descriptions, but it doesn't have a big impact on the tour itself. I didn't want to go to Rainbow Village, so I applied for the Chinese tour on Klook, and they picked me up from the hotel on time, and provided simple guidance using Papago for Korean translation. They also took pictures for me and I could receive restaurant information in the group Line chat. It was more convenient because the guide sent the photos via KakaoTalk. The weather was disappointing due to rain and clouds, but I would like to try again if I come to Taichung again. Umbrellas and water were prepared in the car, so I didn't have to bring them separately. However, if you speak Chinese, take the back seat of the 9-seater van as the front seat hurts your legs and back. There is much more space. Even if the departure is not confirmed on the Klook date, it seemed like they combined it with reservations from other sites for transportation. Please keep this in mind when booking. I recommend it for its cost-effectiveness and ease of transportation!

I thought the tour was great! Many different stops along the way. There were times it was a bit confusing where our next location would be and how much money was required for the extra activities. I knew there would be extra charges, but it seemed high and other tours have been a bit more transparent about what costs would be. We needed 350 extra for the bikes, and 300 extra for the boat tour, which wasn't clear until right when we paid. The Gaomei wetlands were beautiful, it would have been nice to stay just a bit longer to finish the sunset but that's kind of hour tours go. Overall, it had lots of stops and was very convenient, but communication about the charges in advance would have been better! The timing of the tour was great and the locations were so beautiful, the most fun part probably being the bike ride. Would definitely go again!

I highly recommend this trip. It's definitely worth traveling in one day. The driver's name is Moose, cool and handsome, and he drives very well. He also gives great recommendations for places to visit, and he can take beautiful and handsome photos of the group on the trip. Even Thai people who can't speak other languages, he can help with various recommendations, so you don't have to worry about getting lost. I was able to come on this trip alone, so others can too. A warning for newbies: it's recommended to provide accommodation information and send photos of the accommodation for the driver's convenience in picking you up and dropping you off. He will send additional information via Line or other apps. Highly recommended!!!

Great guide and vehicle of the day although it's been changed to Chinese group. The tour guide, Mr Lee has been very proactive to inform all relevant info the day before the tour, also reinforced other members would keep me a company indeed:) There's also a warm reminder of the upcoming weather in Sun Moon Lake prior the tour. He's extremely caring and professional guide. Most important is Mr Lee has been so helpful in assisting me for other few issues. Thank again Mr Lee for such a great day.

we only cover some parts of Sun Moon Lake and it was a nice 1. timing is kinda short at Sun Moon Lake and that's the only cons. timing is perfect at Gaomei Wetland and the sunset is gorgeous. the guide Ms Wu is nice

This tour is worth it!! Special thank sto our tour guide, 小鬼, for the great pics. He is not only knowledgeable on the places that we’ve visited but also takes very good picture. Really recommend this trip!!

Traveling with strangers can be worrying, but this day trip was more satisfying than I expected. Xiao Gui Ge, as the driver and tour guide for the Sun Moon Lake day trip, double-checks with each tourist who joins the group the night before departure. The schedule is also well-arranged. When visiting the small island on the opposite side of the lake, he recommends local delicacies and his English is quite good. The time allotted for each attraction is just right, so there's no feeling of boredom. On the way back, he recommends shops worth a special trip in areas that are worth stopping by. Finally, he safely delivers us to our pre-arranged destinations. It's lucky to have met such a conscientious and talkative tour guide. The captain on the cruise ship gave a simple introduction to Sun Moon Lake, there was a cat stretching and sunbathing under the shade of a tree at the Sun Moon Lake pier, and the aroma of grandma's tea eggs wafted by... At the end of 2025, I finally found Sun Moon Lake hidden in my elementary school textbook. Overall, it was a very satisfying trip.

I don't speak Chinese, but I booked the Chinese group because I needed to make a reservation urgently ^_^. The guide kindly used a translator throughout the tour to explain everything, and I was very happy because he took great photos like a model~! There were no leg aches or discomfort because we traveled by car, and there was no problem touring even though I don't speak Chinese, so Korean people, don't hesitate to apply~! I enjoyed the tour all day long, highly recommended ㅎㅎㅎ (P.S.: It's really, really, really windy on the Gaomei Wetlands tour ㅠㅠ Outerwear is a must ㅠㅠ I almost caught a cold because it was so cold)

The trip was very comfortable and we were able to go to a lot of places in just 1 day. 小鬼 took great pictures of us and gave ample time for each destination. It was a wise choice taking this tour since we're in the area for a short period only. We also got to try different foods. Thank you so much!
