As night falls, the historic gold rush streets come alive with dazzling light projections, glowing laneways, faux snowfall, and festive music. Wander through illuminated streets, enjoy seasonal treats, and soak in the festive atmosphere. By day, explore the living museum, pan for gold, and meet costumed characters. As an added highlight, the Gold Rush Town MV by Jay Chou was filmed here, offering a familiar and recognisable setting for many visitors

Great experience for morning sessions. Do plan ahead and prioritise attractions with only one or two demonstration sessions per day. Great wonderlight shows after sunset!
It’s a nice place to explore golden town. This event is to celebrate winter Christmas, there are light show and artificial snow. Worth it!
The site was huge which could let your family easily spend at least more than 3 hours with the many number of programs and shows. The paid gold mine tour is a must do, which took you deep into the mine site with train and exposed the daily life of a miner. We arrived at 4pm due to viewing to winter Night and it was once in a year of event to join. Highly recommend!
Ticket checking was quick, and there are various performances inside. The architecture is also very unique. Currently, there's artificial snow and a light show in the evenings, making it a delightful experience for kids.

I was absolutely enchanted by the festive atmosphere and captivating displays at Winter Wonderlights. As soon as I entered Sovereign Hill, I was greeted with beautifully decorated streets adorned with sparkling lights, creating a truly enchanting ambiance.
It was a fantastic evening with family and friends. Kids loved the lights and snow. Will definitely visit again.
Best way to see the Sovereign Hill. Really felt like it’s Christmas in July. Lovely for kids. It’d be best if the Wonderlight Dinner is booked as well so dinner is sorted.
Quite atmospheric on a cold night - would be nicer if more activities were open prior to the night lights and 'snow' experience in the latter part of the evening.
