Santos made our tour an unforgettable experience. From the very beginning, he was friendly, professional, and incredibly knowledgeable. He shared fascinating insights about the area, answered all our questions, and made sure everyone felt comfortable and included throughout the day. His enthusiasm and attention to detail really stood out. The tour was well-organised, relaxed, and full of memorable moments, thanks in large part to Santos’s warm personality and expertise. He went above and beyond to make the experience special. And to top it off. He got every group a gift of matcha cookies that he didn’t have to do! such an amazing gesture.
totally enjoyed this experience! love matcha so there’s no way I wouldn’t love the experience first hand with my favorite tea. Our tour guide Jun is amazing, he made sure to not get everyone bored with his jokes and singing. Just off from my bucket list.
What a super happy day trip! We were surrounded by luck all day, unexpectedly joining a small group of only four people, which felt like having a private car. We also met our guide, Charles, who, despite the summer heat, was willing to accompany us into Kiyomizu-dera Temple to act as our photographer. He diligently introduced the history and culture of each attraction and even helped explain our fortune slips. He is, without a doubt, the most dedicated tour guide ever!
Highly recommended. It was a bit crowded because there were many school students visiting at the same time, but overall it was a very nice experience. Uji is a mouth of fresh air after visiting Nanenzaka. The tour guide was very knowledgeable and helpful.
Overall, the value of this tour is excellent, especially with the buy‑one‑get‑one‑free offer. The meeting point was very convenient, making the start of the day smooth and stress‑free. Instead of navigating public transport on ourselves, the bus itself was clean, comfortable, and relaxing. Our tour guide was friendly, knowledgeable, and genuinely helpful, which made the experience even better. Kyoto is such an old, beautiful, and culturally rich city, and visiting three attractions in one day — across both Kyoto and Uji — felt a little rushed. Each spot was stunning, but I personally feel Kyoto deserves a full day on its own to truly enjoy the temples, streets, and atmosphere at a slower pace. Uji was a lovely addition, especially for matcha lovers, but combining both cities into one day means you spend more time moving than soaking things in. If time allows, I’d recommend dedicating one full day to Kyoto for a more relaxed and immersive experience.
I joined the one day Kyoto and Uji Tour on 13th October and had such an amazing time! 🥰✨ Our tour guide Tina was absolutely wonderful! She was friendly, energetic and full of enthusiasm. She explained Kyoto’s history and culture so well and patiently answered all our questions. We got along so well and I really loved her energy! 🥹🩷 She also shared helpful tips on discovering hidden spots, the best routes to take and amazing places to eat & explore. You could really feel how much she wanted everyone to enjoy the experience. One day is definitely not enough to explore all the beauty of Kyoto but this tour made my visit extra special. I’d 100% recommend it to anyone visiting Kyoto. If you get Tina as your guide you’re in for a wonderful experience 🌸. Thank you so much Tina for making the day so memorable! 💕
Theodore and our driver took all the stress out of the day for us. we would never have seen so much in one day if we tried to do it all by ourselves. Teddy made it so easy to find our way around by sending us map links to all the sights in each area. a great day.
Kyoto is beautiful when the cherry blossoms are in full bloom. Our tour leader, John, led the group with great care and dedication. In addition to looking after everyone attentively, he also gave detailed introductions to the local history, recommended great photo spots for check-ins, and even gave small gifts to the guests. His work attitude was serious and sincere, never perfunctory, and he truly deserves praise.
It was a great experience. Our tour guide, Mr. Chen, was very enthusiastic, excellent at switching between Chinese and English, and provided clear explanations. The driver and vehicle condition were also excellent. Highly recommended.
Great day and tour! Our guide Amanda was very sweet and shared recommendations for each spot. I also appreciated how much transportation was provided throughout this tour.
