What to expect
Welcome to Kyoto, an ancient capital steeped in history and culture! 🏯 This day trip will take you to Kyoto's World Heritage Sites, sample authentic cuisine, admire natural beauty, and experience the unique charm of popular Instagrammable spots. 🍜🌸
First, we will visit Kinkaku-ji (Rokuon-ji Temple). Kinkaku-ji, also known as the Golden Pavilion, is famous for its dazzling golden Shariden hall and was designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1994. 🏰 Bathed in sunlight, the Shariden hall resembles a golden palace, sparkling and leaving visitors in awe. ✨
Next, we will head to Kiyomizu-dera Temple and sample local snacks. Kiyomizu-dera Temple is one of Japan’s oldest wooden structures, built in 778, and is also a World Heritage Site. 🌸🍁 Whether it’s the cherry blossoms in spring or the autumn foliage, countless tourists are drawn here to admire the scenery. You can ascend the Kiyomizu Stage, overlook the cityscape of Kyoto, and feel the charm of the ancient capital. 🏞️
While visiting Kiyomizu-dera Temple, you will also stroll through Ninenzaka and Sannenzaka, traditional shopping streets filled with Kyoto's old-fashioned charm. 🛍️ Here, you can purchase traditional crafts and souvenirs, and also taste various local snacks, such as matcha ice cream from MASUDA tea shop and % Arabica coffee, satisfying your taste buds. 🍦☕
Then, we will head to the newly popular Instagrammable spot, Yasaka Koshindo. This place has quickly become popular due to its unique colorful ball decorations and strong religious atmosphere. 🌈 Many tourists come here not only to worship and pray for blessings but also to take a photo with the colorful balls, sharing this beauty and blessing from Kyoto with more people. 📸🙏
Finally, we will embark on a trip to Uji. Uji is famous for the beautiful Uji River and its rich matcha culture. 🍵 You can admire the serene scenery of the Uji River and also visit the World Heritage Site, Byodo-in Temple. Byodo-in Temple is a representative garden of the Heian period, famous for its exquisite Phoenix Hall. 🏯 The Phoenix Hall is not only a national treasure-level building but also appears on the back of the 10-yen coin. You can admire the exquisite craftsmanship and unique charm of this building up close. 🏞️
In Uji Matcha Street, you can taste various matcha sweets and drinks, such as matcha ice cream, matcha cake, matcha latte, etc., experiencing Kyoto's unique matcha culture. 🍰🍦 This will be an unforgettable day trip, allowing you to fully experience the charm and beauty of Kyoto. 💕

totally enjoyed this experience! love matcha so there’s no way I wouldn’t love the experience first hand with my favorite tea. Our tour guide Jun is amazing, he made sure to not get everyone bored with his jokes and singing. Just off from my bucket list.
What a super happy day trip! We were surrounded by luck all day, unexpectedly joining a small group of only four people, which felt like having a private car. We also met our guide, Charles, who, despite the summer heat, was willing to accompany us into Kiyomizu-dera Temple to act as our photographer. He diligently introduced the history and culture of each attraction and even helped explain our fortune slips. He is, without a doubt, the most dedicated tour guide ever!
Highly recommended. It was a bit crowded because there were many school students visiting at the same time, but overall it was a very nice experience. Uji is a mouth of fresh air after visiting Nanenzaka. The tour guide was very knowledgeable and helpful.
Theodore and our driver took all the stress out of the day for us. we would never have seen so much in one day if we tried to do it all by ourselves. Teddy made it so easy to find our way around by sending us map links to all the sights in each area. a great day.
Kyoto is beautiful when the cherry blossoms are in full bloom. Our tour leader, John, led the group with great care and dedication. In addition to looking after everyone attentively, he also gave detailed introductions to the local history, recommended great photo spots for check-ins, and even gave small gifts to the guests. His work attitude was serious and sincere, never perfunctory, and he truly deserves praise.
It was a great experience. Our tour guide, Mr. Chen, was very enthusiastic, excellent at switching between Chinese and English, and provided clear explanations. The driver and vehicle condition were also excellent. Highly recommended.
visited 3 Kyoto spots in a day, transfer included and we paid entrance for the spots. guide Tina was wonderful and awesome. knowledge n professional
Awesome! The itinerary was very diverse, and the timing was perfectly arranged, so it never felt rushed. Theodore Chen is amazing at switching between languages and communicating in multiple languages!
Provides very detailed explanations of Japanese history and shrine culture, demonstrating professional knowledge. Excellent communication skills (fluent in both Chinese and Japanese). Outstanding service attitude: able to recommend suitable restaurants for vegetarians and patiently answer all questions. "Because of him, we fell in love with traveling in Japan." We look forward to our next trip.
Our tour guide was very professional and enthusiastic, providing detailed explanations throughout the trip. The schedule was well-planned, making the entire journey relaxed and enjoyable. All the attractions were well worth visiting, and transportation was very convenient. It was a very satisfying trip, and I highly recommend it to everyone!
