I bought the admission ticket on the morning of my visit and went in the afternoon. We arrived at Jingshan Park before the ticket was confirmed, so we almost weren't allowed in... Just a heads-up that if you book for the same day, instant use isn't available and you have to wait 2 to 3 hours. Visiting Jingshan Park on a clear day was truly fantastic. For short individual trips, it's easy to just stop by the Forbidden City and skip Jingshan Park due to scheduling, but the view of the Forbidden City from the top of Jingshan Park left me with a much stronger impression of having truly experienced the Forbidden City than being inside it. Definitely make sure to visit!~~
