- ASA (American Sailing Association) is a globally recognized sailing training and certification system with high international recognition, suitable for students who want to learn sailing from scratch or plan to rent boats or engage in long-distance sailing abroad in the future.

- Focus on Practical Operation: Over 50% of the time is spent practicing on the boat, including departure, berthing, anchoring, and long-distance voyage planning, allowing students to truly get hands-on experience.
- Small Class Sizes: The number of people on each boat is limited to ensure that each student has enough time to operate the helm and sails.
What to expect
ASA 101 Basic Keelboat Sailing Course Itinerary (2 Days) Day 1: Introductory Basics and Hands-on Experience
- Morning: Course introduction, on-board safety regulations, sailboat structure and nautical terminology, wind direction assessment, basic sailing principles
- Afternoon courses as follows:
- Marina Practices: Mooring, boarding and disembarking procedures
- Basic Sailing: Sailing upwind, beam reach, and downwind
- Sail Trim (Mainsail and Jib Operations)
- Onboard role assignment and collaboration, students take turns at the helm
Day 2: Advanced Practice and Graduation Test
- Morning: Yesterday's review: Departure and basic sailing, turning maneuvers (tacking & gybing), sail lowering, stopping and man overboard procedures, introduction to safety collision avoidance rules
- Afternoon: Comprehensive sailing practice, students lead the boat in groups, docking and mooring practice, ASA101 written and practical test, course review and graduation
ASA 103 Coastal Cruising Course Itinerary (3 Days) Day 1: Advanced Boat Handling and Anchoring
- Morning: Course introduction and safety inspection, introduction to advanced boat equipment (engine, electricity, water systems), review of departure and arrival procedures, in-harbor maneuvering: low-speed handling, docking skills
- Afternoon
- Departure Sailing Practice: Upwind/Beam Reach/Downwind Control
- Anchoring Training (Deploying, Retrieving, Confirming Position)
- Night Sailing Preparation and Navigation Light Regulations
Day 2: Voyage Planning and Navigation Practice
- Morning: Basic Navigation (Chart Reading, Bearings, Route Planning), Collision Regulations (COLREGS), Weather Assessment and Navigation Risk Management
- Afternoon: Coastal passage practice (route planning based on location), students take turns as "Captain" to develop and execute a sailing plan, man overboard drill (MOB Drill)
Day 3: Integrated Operations and Testing
- Morning: Comprehensive boat handling exercises: departure, passage, docking, emergency response drills (engine failure, sail problems), on-board living management and safety planning
- Afternoon: Students independently lead the boat to complete a short voyage, ASA103 written & practical test, course review and graduation
