What to expect
[Snorkeling Experience]
Go snorkeling at Green Island's well-known dive sites (Shilang or Chai Kou). In the snorkeling areas, you can usually see colorful tropical fish and a variety of hard and soft corals. Sometimes, you can even see sea turtles swimming around, which is very spectacular!
In addition to its rich ecology, Green Island's waters are clean and clear, with visibility usually over 10 meters, and over 20 meters on sunny days. It is a paradise for ocean lovers. When you come to Green Island, you must not miss this world-class natural beauty.
[Secret Realm Exploration]
First, go to the world-class secret scenic spot, Green Island Blue Cave, a miracle carefully crafted by nature. Light and shadow flow in the azure blue water. Because the Blue Cave is affected by tides and weather, the days when it can be safely entered during the year are limited. Only by walking into it in person can you experience the shock and emotion. [Night Tour]
After night falls, Green Island quietly puts on another mysterious look. A professional guide will lead you into the quiet mountains and forests, away from the hustle and bustle of the daytime, to embark on a night of exploration. Stroll slowly under the Milky Way, looking for traces of nocturnal creatures large and small along the way. Surprises may be hidden in the inconspicuous branches and leaves. The most anticipated thing is the opportunity to witness Green Island's most representative wild animal, the sika deer, walking freely in the quiet forest.
The whole journey does not involve water, is easy and pleasant to walk, and can be safely participated in by couples, parents and children, or friends. Through the guide's delicate and vivid explanations, you can also slowly learn about the rich cultural history of this Fire Island and feel a completely different Green Island atmosphere. On my first night in Green Island, I signed up for the night tour. Coach A-Ren was very patient and introduced us to some cultural attractions. We went to Guanyin Cave to pray and even saw the Black Beauty! Ahhh, I touched a frog! Although it was raining, seeing Green Island at night was still a wonderful experience... Green Island is a place that makes you feel relaxed and happy. Ahhh, I'll come again next time!

The shop was easy to find and the staff was very kind. not that much English, but not needed for the snorkeling. The guide was great and took us to known spots for many fish, even saw a sea turtle. The night tour is Manasrian only and just a lot of scootering around, not recommended if you need English.
We arrived early and waited at the shop, where the on-site instructor first explained the safety measures. I was very curious and excited about Green Island's Blue Cave! Following the local instructor, the scenery along the way was beautiful. I'm so glad I signed up for the Blue Cave Secret Exploration; it's truly worth visiting. However, please be sure to join a tour group for the activity to ensure a safe and worry-free experience! Highly recommended! Great experience - worth it! You get everything you need. The place where we were was full of many types of fish. Even clowns. The guide only spoke Chinese, but it wasn't a problem, we managed it anyway.
Snorkeling was incredibly fun! It turns out Taiwan has beautiful scenery that rivals international destinations. The night tour was also super interesting, and Ah-Ren's commentary was excellent. I highly recommend these activities for anyone visiting Green Island!
We did the night tour. The guides were very friendly und told us a lot about the local flora and fauna. They also were very helpful, when our electric scooter battery was almost empty. Really liked the tour!
Our tour guide was really funny, haha! The frog that appeared out of nowhere was super cute, and it had excellent eyesight. It's a shame the weather obscured the constellations, but the guide still explained everything very thoroughly! Highly recommend!
It's so funny, I mixed up my night tour and snorkeling reviews, but it's okay, both were a lot of fun! The instructors were all very interesting and humorous, and the fish were adorable and loved to eat! Highly recommend!
