It seems to be divided into Orca Show/Dolphin Show/Aquarium. When I traveled to Kobe, I had previously visited the Animal Kingdom, so this time I chose Kobe Suma Sea World, and it was a really great choice! It was so much fun. I haven't been to the aquarium yet, but if I go again next time, I'll definitely check it out. I highly recommend it if you're traveling with children!
Highly recommended for both adults and children, the experience is fantastic, and the performances are exciting with constant highlights.
Entry is permitted after 11 AM. Present your QR code to the staff at the entrance. They will provide you with another QR code for scanning to enter. However, purchasing tickets on-site is also recommended. The sign indicates ticket sales begin at 11:00 AM, but they actually start selling earlier, allowing you to enter sooner 😂. Food inside is quite expensive, but the souvenirs are extremely cute.
It was a great experience. Before going, I was worried that the admission process would be complicated, but at the venue, it was very convenient to simply scan the QR code to enter. I think the killer whale show is definitely the highlight of the park. I highly recommend seeing it if you haven't seen this type of show before. If you sit in the front row, remember to wear a raincoat.
Instead of going to the ticket counter, I had the staff at the entrance scan the QR code on my voucher, and they exchanged it for a paper ticket, allowing me to enter! I'm glad I was able to buy it a little cheaper than buying it officially. If you like Orcas, definitely check it out!!
My daughter, her baby (my grandchild), my husband, and I went to the aquarium because my daughter insisted while she was visiting home. There are dolphin and orca shows, but we watched the orca show. I heard that the first eight rows get soaking wet, so we secured seats right behind the reserved seating (on the second floor) about an hour before the 2:00 PM show. There were still plenty of seats available then, but it was full just before the show started, even on a weekday. The orcas seemed friendly and came to the front of the tank before the show to interact with the audience. (laughs) The show was dynamic and very enjoyable. The first eight rows get drenched. They sell ponchos for 400 yen, but it's a good idea to bring plastic bags for your bags and shoes. The exhibits are displayed three-dimensionally, like a biotope. The jellyfish area is romantic, and you can see the large tanks from various angles, including from above. There's also a touch pool. I always thought aquariums were for kids, but there were also senior citizen groups there. If you're 65 or older, you can get a senior discount.
So healing! The aquarium is right next to the ocean, a win-win! Plus, it's not crowded, making for a great travel experience.
Booked tickets in advance for the National Day holiday. The aquarium is super romantic. I especially loved the killer whale show. It's a great place for couples! Highly recommend visiting the Suma Aqualife Park!
