Yilan: One-day carpool tour - Zhang Mei Grandma's Farm, Qingshui Geothermal Park, and Xingbao Scallion Experience Farm (hotel pick-up and drop-off from Taipei)

I’ve gone on so many tours around the world and my whole family agrees this was arguably our favorite organized tour ever. We started hiking to the most breathtaking waterfall (truly! and I’ve seen many). I didn’t want to leave. We saw the friendliest animals on the farm and they were well taken care of and the staff was great. The Geopark was such a cool experience to be able to cook food you pick in a natural way! Amazing. And making a scallion pancake to top it off. The only downside was that it was an extremely hot day. Hydrate the night before it case you have a hot day ahead of you. Again, best tour in Taiwan. Xu Qiyang was a very wholesome guide. He sent information ahead of time that was very thorough and throughout the tour in translated bits to give any passenger in any language needed. We will always remember this trip.

A pleasant travel experience. The driver Ahao is very professional. The scenery of Wufeng Mountain is very beautiful. The trails are suitable for a large family. The capybaras at Zhangmei Grandma Farm are very cute. The fried cakes given with the ticket are very delicious. Qingshui Geothermal Park. Ahao My brother prepared eggs and corn, which were very delicious. Trying to make DIY scallions with Xingbao Scallions was also another experience. At the end, I went to the Forestry Museum and learned about Yilan’s wood industry, which was very enlightening. A great travel experience.

Comfortable ride. We enjoyed the countryside vibe of Yilan, the activity making scalionpancakes, the animals at the farm and Ludong forest park. Sadly the waterfall viewing area is closed so we are unable to see it closer. The church on top is beautiful. Get ready for trekking if you’ll book this tour.

The supplier will contact us in advance and provide the driver information one day in advance. The driver arrived on time for the pick-up and also explained some parts that need attention or some information about the attractions in the car. He also took pictures for us while we were making scallion pancakes. The itinerary was not too tight, it was a very good experience!

This was a very enjoyable trip for our 4 kids. They especially enjoyed feeding the animals at Zhang Mei Farm, cooking their own lunch at the Qingshui hot spring, and making their own scallion pancakes at the Sanxing Scallion Farm. Not the even the rain and falling in the mud while picking their own scallion could dampen their spirits! Driver Lin Tiansong's driving skills were superb! Highly recommended.

The tour guide was excellent and provided timely pick-up and drop-off. The itinerary was very well-paced. If some entrance fees were included, it would offer even better value for money. Overall, I still recommend it.
