Kyoto Kimono Rental Experience & Japanese Makeover & Photoshoot (Provided by Ookini Arashiyama Store)

We were thinking of doing a kimono experience while on our family autumn foliage trip, but we were hesitant because of the price. Then we found Oh! Kimono! It was much cheaper than other places, so we were skeptical, but decided to book it just to see!! But wow!! I regret the time I spent worrying about it ㅜㅜㅜㅜㅜ I loved it so much!!!!!!! The staff were really, really, really, really kind, and it took about an hour to get 6 adults and 1 infant ready!!! My parents loved it too ㅜㅜ the infant kimono was so cute I almost fainted... The staff are really the best ㅜㅜ Don't hesitate, do it here!!! It's half the price of other places, but they have a wide variety of kimonos and they do hair styling and bags!!!!!! Thank you again to the staff >.<

A fantastic experience! The shop assistants were all very friendly. If you don't know how to coordinate your outfit, they will actively help you. The kimono prices are very affordable! Being able to wear such a beautiful kimono and take photos fulfilled my long-held wish 🥰. The exquisite hairstyle was also done very beautifully, and my friends all praised how good it looked! I highly recommend this place and will come back again if I have the chance.

Extremely satisfied! The emotional value is off the charts, and I'm incredibly happy. I will recommend this place to any and all babies coming to Japan! The package deals are a great value, the service is patient, gentle, and considerate, and the kimono styles are beautiful. There's absolutely no forced spending, and you don't have to lift a finger – the professional staff handles dressing and undressing you in the kimonos. The hairstyles are super beautiful. I even got my picture taken by foreign friends in the Bamboo Forest Path – such a delightful experience! Don't miss this shop; the lace kimonos are gorgeous.

we arrived past 10am and there were limited people at the place so we got the first choice of kimonos. we decided to add 30mins photography and Paul was great! there were 4 of us and we enjoyed the photoshoot a lot. it definitely is worth it. makeup is almost double the price of Kimono so I did not add that. already good choices for basic hair so we did not upgrade. definitely worth your money. you can wear the kimono up to 5:30pm but we had to return it early as we need to ride a boat. place is close to many tourist spots so it is a great option.

The store employees spoke limited English but enough for the both of you to understand each other. All the kimono accessories (i.e. handbag, footwear & socks, etc.) were included in this package so it's a great value for money IMO. You can choose/customize basically everything to your liking. Even though I chose the basic hairstyle, I was still very satisfied with how it turned out. Overall a great experience where I got to stroll around for a few hours in a kimono around the area.

I’m from Malaysia and we rent a kimono here with reasonable price we booked from klook the staff very helpful and friendly and the place also very clean and feels cozy highly recommended and have many kimonos to choose and the stylist very professional and fast to style the hair and kimono.

My family (including seniors and children) and I are incredibly grateful! The two ladies in the shop and the photographer were friendly and kind. Not only were the kimonos beautiful, but the hairstyles were also lovely. Despite the cold weather, they were very accommodating when we frequently went back and forth to retrieve items, our coats, and to use the restroom. My family and I are extremely satisfied with this experience and highly, highly recommend it.

Highly recommended! An amazing Arashiyama kimono experience 🌸 This experience was truly perfect! The Japanese makeup was exquisite, and the kimono was of excellent quality and comfortable to wear. The staff were friendly and spoke Mandarin, so communication was seamless, making our entire Arashiyama trip a wonderful memory. Also, I highly recommend their photography service! The photographer was very kind and great at directing, and their photography skills were incredibly professional. All the candid shots were stunning. I sincerely recommend this to everyone, thumbs up! 👍✨
