The location is the best, it is beside JR train station and in front of it is the Bus station. At the back of the hotel there is a massive parking lot that guests can use. Restaurants, convenience stores and car rentals are just few steps away. The room is very spacious and clean. The staff are very accommodating

I stayed at 3 hotels over the course of 10 days in Japan and La'gent Stay Hakodate Ekimae was the best ever! I only wished that it were the hotel that I would have stayed at for the longest duration, but there's only so much to do in Hakodate ;) The location is a mere 500m or so from the Hakodate Fish market and Hakodate station. The hotel itself has a Lawson's on site as well as several affordably-priced eateries. I noticed a large parking lot as well, though I didn't have a chance to use that facility. That being said, I did get a chance to enjoy the onsen bath at the hotel - it was awesome! Not all their staff speak English, but you always have Google Translate to rescue you for any questions you have for them.
