One of the benefits of purchasing zoo and botanical garden tickets on the Klook platform is that upon arrival, you can immediately redeem a voucher for animal feed, allowing you to experience the joy of feeding animals right away. If you wish to feed them more, you can simply purchase additional feed on-site. The only thing I think is important to note is that different animals have different types of feed. It's necessary to find out what kind of feed the animal you most want to feed requires before redeeming your voucher. Otherwise, there's a risk that the feed you receive might not be for the animal you intended to feed.

We were lucky that the National Center for Traditional Arts had a special offer on KLOOK, a buy-one-get-one-free deal on tickets. This made it half the price of buying tickets at the venue, with some money left over. Online ticketing was very fast; we made a last-minute decision and bought the tickets online after arriving at the center's parking lot. The tickets were issued less than five minutes after booking. When we got to the entrance, it saved us the hassle of buying physical tickets. We just showed the QR code from our voucher at the entrance, and we were able to go right in!

Taiping Mountain is breathtakingly beautiful and peaceful. The ticket redemption was smooth, only need to present the QR codes. I will definitely return in the near future.

I originally thought we'd only play for two hours, but we ended up staying for almost five! Although the park is a bit small, it has a lot of animals you can interact with and feed. If you add their official LINE account, you can get a free gashapon capsule toy coupon, and if you share and check in on Facebook, you can get a free portion of grass (for feeding the animals). The amusement area also has a marble game, a park train, and DIY activities like making dolls or taking sticker photos (the sticker photo booth has many accessories you can use, which is great). Oh, and I highly recommend the Thai milk tea capybara ice cream from the food stand; everything else was just okay. Overall, it was a very nice day ✔️

Visiting the Lanyang Museum gave me a deeper understanding of Yilan's natural environment and cultural history. The museum's exterior is famous for its sloping triangular design, inspired by Yilan's common "single-sided mountain" terrain. The building itself is like a work of art, blending seamlessly with the surrounding wetland landscape, leaving a deep impression upon arrival. The museum's exhibits are rich and diverse, offering detailed introductions to everything from Yilan's geological evolution and climatic characteristics to the lifestyles of its early inhabitants. For example, through models and multimedia displays, visitors can learn about the formation process of the Lanyang Plain and how the local people developed unique lifestyles in response to the northeast monsoon and rainy climate. These exhibits are not only informative but also highly interactive, making the visit engaging. I particularly enjoyed the sections that showcase traditional industries and culture, such as fishing, agriculture, and local beliefs. These exhibits convey Yilan's profound human touch and cultural heritage. Through real object displays and recreated scenarios, it felt as if I could see the daily lives of past residents, making history more than just words in a book. Overall, the Lanyang Museum is not just a place to gain knowledge; it's also a space where one can slow down and appreciate the beauty of architecture and nature. This visit allowed me to learn more about Yilan and to cherish Taiwan's diverse and rich local culture even more. If I have the chance, I will recommend this museum to friends and family, so they can experience this educational and aesthetically pleasing museum for themselves.

We visited on Saturday, April 18, 2026. The weather was cloudy that day, but thankfully it didn't rain. The park has deer, capybaras, turtles, dogs, and donkeys. The staff put a lot of effort into designing activities, such as printing commemorative postcards, collecting stamps at each station, and finally piecing together various colors to form the park's star animal members. There's also a commemorative stamp on the back. Although the park isn't large, the staff's dedication is evident everywhere. You can replenish mosquito repellent, and at the hay distribution point, you can get a small gift by leaving a review on Facebook or Instagram. We received two cute fans that day. It's recommended to check the weather before going, as most of the park is outdoors. You can also purchase e-tickets through Klook in advance for a slightly lower price and exchange them for physical tickets at the counter upon arrival. A full-price ticket is 200 NTD, which can be exchanged for feed and hay to feed the animals. The capybaras are super cute when they eat! 🥰 There's also a small cafe within the park, and the souvenir shop at the exit has a wide array of adorable merchandise, including plush toys, cups, badges, and hats – almost anything you can imagine. Overall, the planning is excellent, and the staff are friendly and enthusiastic. We would definitely visit again if we have the chance!

# Yilan Fox Village Review Yilan Fox Village is a unique attraction where visitors can get up close with foxes. The park environment is clean and comfortable, and the staff thoughtfully explain the foxes' habits and care. Children are very excited to see the lively and adorable foxes, not only observing their daily lives but also learning more about animal conservation. Although the park is not large, the interactive experience is fresh and engaging, making it suitable for families with children to plan a half-day trip. It's a therapeutic attraction in Yilan worth visiting.

beautiful, the second you step inside the park to get to the hot springs you can already tell you’ll have a good time, there’s free cubicles to place your stuff and the entry is very cheap, specially considering the fact that you can stay as long as you want, me and my friend met a very friendly taiwanese woman that drove us to the night market later to eat together. Very clean and i felt very safe, 100% recommend!!

What to know before visiting Yilan

What to expect from Yilan County throughout the year

Yilan County is best known for wildlife and marine experiences, with zoos & aquariums topping bookings, followed by cultural visits to historical sites and live events. Demand rises and falls through the year, peaking in November and dipping in July, so the busiest season centers around late-year travel.

Which activities suit different kinds of travellers

Families will find zoos & aquariums and events & shows especially rewarding — these categories are family-friendly and dominate bookings. Couples often enjoy cruises and massages for more relaxed, intimate experiences. Solo travellers and small groups can pick from historical sites and events & shows, which are easy to fit into flexible itineraries and tend to be lower-cost options.

What travellers from Singapore should book ahead

Travellers from Singapore typically plan around eleven days in advance, so allow a little planning time rather than leaving everything to the last minute; the earliest planners book about 39 days out. Booking ahead matters most for the November peak months, when demand is highest; for off-peak months you can be more flexible and some things are still available a couple of days before.

How the main categories compare on price and who they suit

Historical sites are the easiest way in, with the lowest typical prices and straightforward appeal for budget-conscious visitors and culture-seekers. Zoos & aquariums and events & shows sit in the mid-range and are great for families and groups looking for accessible daytime activities. Cruises are the priciest typical option and suit travellers seeking a premium waterfront experience. Massages offer the widest range of price points, from entry-level treatments to higher-end spa options, making them a good fit for budget and luxury travellers alike.
