The Red Turtle Cake DIY experience was incredibly fun! Not only did we get to experience making a traditional Taiwanese delicacy firsthand, but we also learned a lot of interesting facts about Red Turtle Cakes. It was truly a rewarding experience 🤍 Under the guidance of our instructor, we successfully made our own Red Turtle Cakes and even got to eat them right away 😋 It's true that food you make yourself always tastes extra delicious! It's wonderful to see a group of people quietly promoting traditional Taiwanese culture, ensuring these precious cultural elements are preserved and seen by more people 😽🫶🏻

The Kavalan factory tour was really great. The tasting in the warehouse was especially enjoyable. (Although the award-winning whiskies themselves tasted/smelled better, the atmosphere in the warehouse was fantastic, haha.) And if you're planning to buy pineapple cakes, definitely get them at Yishunxuan in Jiaoxi. I think they're the best here. I regret only buying two boxes... Also, be sure to buy the roll cake. The scallion pancakes across the street are also delicious, so make sure to try them. It was supposed to be a tour without a guide, but luckily, we got to spend more quality time with the guides. One regrettable part was the Yilan Traditional Arts Center; I wish there was a better course than this one.

Most people chose the Lanyang Wildlife Kingdom, but we opted to visit the Yilan Traditional Arts Center. It's set up like a theme park, and if we had more time, we would have watched a performance, but we missed it. At the Kavalan Whisky Distillery, the Korean explanation time didn't fit our schedule, so we attended the Japanese explanation instead. You don't need a reservation; just show up at the designated spot at the right time, and it will start. I think it was at 1:00 PM. Even with a phone translator, you can generally understand it.
