Labuan Bajo

This is a high-end hotel in the city, and the ocean view upon entering is absolutely stunning. I just wish Klook had mentioned that booking an ocean-view room includes complimentary airport transfers. I only found out at check-in that round-trip airport transfers were free. The breakfast selection is extensive, with many local specialty foods to choose from.

I had a wonderful stay at Loccal Collection Hotel. From the moment I arrived, the staff were warm, welcoming, and always ready to help. The check-in process was smooth, and the hospitality throughout my stay made me feel right at home. The room was clean, comfortable, and beautifully designed, with everything I needed for a relaxing stay. The bed was very comfortable, and I appreciated the attention to detail in both the room amenities and housekeeping. The hotel’s location is also a great advantage, making it convenient to explore nearby attractions while still enjoying a peaceful atmosphere. The facilities were well maintained, and the overall ambience was stylish and relaxing. What stood out the most was the excellent service from the entire team. Their friendliness and professionalism truly enhanced my experience. I highly recommend Loccal Collection Hotel to anyone looking for a comfortable, memorable, and enjoyable stay. I would definitely love to return on my next visit!

Loved our stay. Rooms were clean and cosy. Complimentary breakfast was great, and staff were super friendly. Location was a bit out of the way so a bit hard to get around, and the hotel's transport charges were quite high. Gojek and grab only seems to have bike transport available, and it wasn't possible to book a car.

A lovely afternoon and great value for money. Rangko cave with its blue lagoon was refreshing, the snorkelling world class and the hilltop view serene. Highly recommend as a precursor to the big Komodo Island day trip!

We are Koreans who went on our honeymoon here. At first, we hesitated because there were fewer reviews compared to other places, but we trusted the Korean reviews and booked it. I highly recommend it! It was the Ohana company, and the boat was in great condition. At each snorkeling spot, there were many people, but they gave us small flower pins to help us distinguish ourselves, so we didn't get confused. All the guides were very kind. At Manta Point, I was too scared to go in, but the guides took my phone and went in themselves to record videos for me, which was the best!

Boat Condition: The boat was in excellent condition! It was clean, safe, and there were no areas where one could get hurt. Oh! On days with choppy waves, I thought it would be great to have seatbelts, as there was a concern of falling off the chair even when sitting still at high speeds. :) Guide: Yoga briefed us on the tour itinerary and explained the rules to ensure safety and protect the tour sites. With a lively and positive vibe, he took great photos at each tour spot and naturally led conversations. During snorkeling, he guided my wife and me, who are not accustomed to swimming in the sea, by holding onto a life tube, allowing us to see beautiful corals, fish, turtles, and even sharks! I would definitely recommend him to friends planning a trip to Labuan Bajo! Itinerary: We visited Padar Island, Pink Beach, and Komodo National Park, then had lunch, stopped at a beautiful beach, and went snorkeling at Manta Point and Reef Point. The tour started at 6 AM and ended around 3:30-4 PM, which felt just right. :) Safety: We didn't have major concerns thanks to the professional boat driver and staff. However, it was a particularly windy day with rougher waves than usual. Although I don't usually get seasick, I felt a bit unwell today. Even if you don't typically experience seasickness, it would be wise to bring motion sickness medication.

I rushed to eat breakfast at the hotel and headed to the lobby because I was told they would pick me up at 6:30 AM, but they didn't arrive until 6:45 AM, which was frustrating. 15 minutes in the morning is a big deal. Other than that, it was a perfect tour with no complaints. We didn't see any manta rays, but we saw many sea turtles, and the guide took some great videos with my camera! They did an excellent job, and it made for a wonderful memory! We wished we could have been in the videos too if we were better at diving, but maybe next time. We were told it would be lucky to see two Komodo dragons during mating season, but we saw about ten. We even witnessed them fighting, which was very impressive! It was a fulfilling day! Regarding the boat: It was quite cramped and narrow when everyone was seated inside. Regarding safety: I later learned that in July of this year, a Chinese couple drowned in this area because they couldn't swim and weren't wearing life jackets. If you're not confident in your swimming abilities, please declare it and rent a life jacket. Don't do anything reckless, cause an accident, and then blame others.

The driver picked us up on time, and we boarded the boat and started our trip before 7 AM. Every spot met our expectations; the pink beach wasn't exactly like the promotional pictures, but it was still very pink. The guide wasn't very humorous but was very responsible, actively helping us take photos while snorkeling and even pulling a life buoy for weaker guests. When we didn't see any manta rays at Manta Point, he took us to Mawan to look for them, and we were fortunate enough to see manta rays swimming right in front of us. The boat wasn't as luxurious as in the promotional photos, but it was acceptable for a trip. Don't have any expectations for the lunch box; it wasn't delicious but not bad either, most importantly, it filled us up. The tour fee itself was very reasonable, but the national park entrance fee was too expensive at 400,000 IDR per person, which was a bit disappointing. Everything else was great.

It's a shame that we had to proceed with an alternative itinerary due to high waves near Komodo, but I understand that this was due to official directives, not the fault of the tour operator. The hotel pickup was punctual, the guidance was detailed, and I appreciated the continuous attention to safety throughout the trip. The alternative snorkeling spot was also incredibly beautiful and stunning, and the highlight, the Komodo dragons, were seen sufficiently on Rinca Island, another alternative island, making it a very satisfying tour. The boat was also clean and convenient. It's a highly recommendable tour and an excellent company.
