Really impressive itinerary and plenty of time in every location. Weather was a bit rainy, but it made the atmosphere iven more special. Enjoyed it a lot! Guide Han is super nice and gave plenty of information about the places we are visiting but also about Nagoya.

If you are worried about not knowing how to get to the meeting point, we recommend visiting it a day in advance. The driver will also send a message the evening before to confirm the meeting time and location. This tour had a small group size of only 10 people. Although it seemed we signed up for a Chinese-speaking tour, there were also foreign tourists in the group. The tour guide gave the impression of being a full-time driver and part-time guide. Since he needed to focus on driving the entire time, he couldn't provide any commentary about the attractions while on the bus, which was a bit unfortunate; he usually could only say a few brief words upon arriving at each destination. However, I would suggest that the driver at least proactively inform passengers of the upcoming travel time, otherwise, every time we got back on the bus, we had no idea when we would reach the destination. Reviews of the attractions are as follows: • Inuyama Castle: The scenery is gorgeous. Both the ancient castle architecture itself and the distant views from inside the castle are well worth seeing. However, please note that you need to climb four floors to reach the top, and each step is extremely steep (about twice as high as a regular staircase). If you are traveling with elderly family members, this will be physically exhausting and potentially hazardous. • Ena Gorge Bridge: If you visit in the summer, the scenery is very ordinary and this stop can be completely skipped. • Magome-juku and Tsumago-juku: These places preserve a strong traditional architectural style and are dreamily beautiful, making it feel like you've traveled back in time. If you enjoy hiking, we highly recommend trying the ancient trail hike between the two post towns; you just need to stay in touch with the driver in advance and arrange to meet at the endpoint.

Jin and our bus driver were quite knowledgeable, adaptable and kind. Ensure you’re prepared for the journey as it does involve a lot of walking as per the description. We thoroughly enjoyed all the places we visited. A definite must-do if you have a free full day in Nagoya. Thank you!

Great tour just hours away from Nagoya. Inuyama castle and the walking trail of Nakasendo is definitely worth a visit! The tour guide named Liu is detailed on explanation.

Departing in mid-October, we seized the opportunity before the mountain trails closed. I had actually wanted to go for a very long time. Our tour guide, Ms. Yu, was extremely attentive the entire time, provided very clear explanations, answered all the group members' questions, and interacted with us a lot. We had a wonderful time, and both dinner and breakfast featured authentic Japanese-style meals.

We had such a wonderful experience on our Mt Fuji and surrounding areas tour. Our guide Sherry was absolutely fantastic — friendly, knowledgeable, patient and very helpful throughout the entire day. He made the trip feel relaxed and enjoyable while also making sure we saw some beautiful locations and had plenty of time to take photos and enjoy the scenery. His local knowledge really added to the experience, and everything was well organised from start to finish. Mt Fuji and the surrounding areas were stunning, but having such a great guide made the day even more memorable. We really appreciated the kindness, professionalism and effort put into making sure we had a great time. Highly recommend this tour and our guide Sherry to anyone visiting Japan. Thank you for such a beautiful and unforgettable day

I had never participated in a Klook day tour before, and I was pleasantly surprised by how simple and convenient it was. Our amazing tour guide, Shu Yue (highly recommend!), provided detailed explanations and even suggested great restaurants and cafes for delicious food and drinks. I truly recommend taking this day tour, and if you're lucky enough to get Shu Yue as your guide, it's an instant bonus!

To reach Inuyama Castle, you first have to walk up an incline. The stairs to the main keep are quite narrow, but the view from the top of the keep is beautiful for taking photos. Magome-juku is an uphill slope all the way to the observation deck, so it's not suitable for people with mobility issues.

I've joined many one-day tours in Japan, but this was my first time with a female tour guide. Xiao Yu was incredibly attentive, the arrangements were smooth, and the timing was precise. My legs can't handle walking too far, and she made sure I was well taken care of. Thank you for this Shirakawa-go and Takayama experience; it was a very relaxing and comfortable trip. 🙏🏻 I will definitely come back again!

What to know before visiting Inuyama

What to do in Inuyama

Inuyama is best known for guided Tours, with Museums and Parks & gardens also popular year-round. Tours dominate bookings and shape the seasonal rhythm: Klook booking data shows a clear spring surge, with April as the single busiest month. Museums and Parks & gardens fill quieter corners of the year, appealing to travellers after cherry blossom season or those avoiding crowds. Decide whether you want festival-like energy in spring or a calmer outing later — pick spring for atmosphere or late autumn for quieter visits. All figures are based on Klook booking data.

When to visit Inuyama

Demand peaks in April and drops to its quietest in September; Klook booking data labels April as the busiest month and September as the trough. Prices move differently: median paid prices on Klook were highest in August and September at SGD 73, fell to a low in November at SGD 21, and otherwise drifted through the year. Where demand and price diverge is most useful — visit April for peak atmosphere but expect higher demand, and choose November for much lower typical prices and gentler crowds.

Tips for travellers from Singapore

Most travellers book about 9 days ahead, so plan with moderate lead time if you want flexibility; for April and other busy months, earlier booking pays. A few travellers lock things in much earlier — around 25 days out — for peace of mind on popular dates. On Klook you can compare typical prices and secure spots for Tours and Museums before you travel; use the app to spot lower-price windows like November and to reserve must-do experiences well before peak periods.
