Thank you very much to the tour guide Allan. He did an excellent job during the day trip. I am glad to have experienced this wonderful journey. I will join another tour from this company called Go-Go Day Travel. Highly recommend it to everyone.

it was a blast! Originally I was planning to do a separate Hakone and Mt. Fuji trip and was genuinely excited when there was a 2 in 1 tour. Our tour guide (Jack) offered a lot of trivia and tips for our Japan trip and is highly recommended. Thank you for a memorable birthday, Gogoday.

I highly recommend the Enoshima course in Kamakura, a place recently rumored to have beautiful scenery on social media. Although it was a day of heavy rain, June Park kindly led us precisely on time, ensuring we weren't inconvenienced by the weather, making our day incredibly fulfilling. I'd love to visit again on a day with good weather. If you want to create wonderful memories in Japan, a visit to Kamakura will surely fill your trip with charming experiences. Thank you, June Park, for your excellent explanations and kindness, even in the heavy rain.

Great day tour experience to Kamakura. The day tour was by Gogoday Travel, quite a big tour company with many groups gathering at the same time so watch out for the flag number and check in with the guide holding the flag. they will email you the day before to provide the meeting details and contacts like WhatsApp, Line. The bus was big and seats were comfortable. Our guide Alex was excellent, he is fluent in both English and Mandarin and always provide the information in both languages. He was reassuring and generous in his assistance throughout the trip. The weather was good although it was a little hot from the walking and we couldn't see Mt Fuji from Enoshima island. the duration was good so that we were back in Shinjuku by 5.30pm. For those who prefer front seats in bus, select priority seats with a bit more fees.

Kento was a funny and great guide to have for our day trip to Kakamura + Enoshima Island. He made sure to get us to where we needed to be on time and explained it perfectly to make it seamless as possible. He recommended some great spots for us to try at each place. Thanks so much Kento for the lovely day!!

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I was so lucky to have Zoe/Xiao Wang as our tour guide for the Atami Fireworks Day Tour! What impressed me most about the entire trip was her excellent management of time and group order. Her explanations of the attractions were clear, and she thoroughly covered all important details. She also managed every meeting time perfectly, allowing the entire itinerary to proceed smoothly as planned. I particularly appreciate her "gentle but principled" approach to leading the group. When she needed to remind group members, she always maintained a soft demeanor but firmly insisted that everyone adhere to the schedule and group rules. I believe a good tour guide isn't necessarily about providing excessive service, but rather about clearly communicating what needs to be said and effectively managing what needs to be controlled, allowing travelers to enjoy their journey with peace of mind. Thank you, Zoe/Xiao Wang, for your dedication and professionalism throughout the trip. This five-star review is truly a heartfelt show of support for you! ❤️

This tour was the highlight of my first day in Japan. Matt is an incredible guide. He shared fascinating background about Enoshima and Atami that brought the locations to life. He never rushed us as we had plenty of time to soak in the views and grab photos. I appreciate Matt’s thoughtfulness. When I realized I had forgotten my phone charging cable and asked where I could buy one, he did not just point me to a store. . . he handed me his own cable to use. That kind of kindness is rare. He saved my phone battery for the photos. 👍 He also gave us 2 of the "must-visit" spots for first-timers in Tokyo and what to watch out for. The fireworks were breathtaking and Matt’s guidance made the experience completely stress-free. This is definitely a bookmark-worthy experience. I highly recommend Matt and this tour!

Omgosh! This was a long drive, but Mr. Jhon was amazing. We had a random stop for Potty Break and found some unique snacks. Hakone is so beautiful and green in June. The weather was perfect and we saw Mt. Fuji so many times.

What to know before visiting Kamakura

Top experiences and seasonal rhythm

Kamakura’s top draws are its Tours and Cultural experiences, with Tours dominating bookings and shaping the city’s things-to-do scene across the year. Demand builds through spring, peaks in May, then eases into a quieter summer before picking up again in October.

Best activities for families, couples and solo travellers

Families will find guided Tours ideal — they’re the most booked category and suit easy-paced sightseeing that works with kids. Couples often prefer Cultural experiences for a more intimate, local flavour and quieter moments away from the busiest routes. Solo travellers and small groups can explore Museums for budget-friendly visits or pick Outdoor & sports activities for more adventurous options when they want a broader range of intensity and price.

What travellers from Singapore should book ahead

With most bookings made around two weeks out and early planners reserving roughly a month ahead, treat Kamakura as somewhere that rewards a little advance planning—especially in the peak season of May. You can usually pick up many experiences a few days before travel, but if you’re visiting in May it’s wise to lock in popular Tours and Cultural experiences earlier.

How the main categories compare on price and fit

Museums are the easiest, most budget-friendly entry to Kamakura’s attractions, while Outdoor & sports activities sit at the top end and show the widest range in price and intensity, making them suitable for both casual adventurers and people seeking premium experiences. Tours occupy the mid-range in price but dominate in popularity, fitting most traveller types, and Cultural experiences offer mid-to-upper price points for couples or visitors chasing local depth. Massages sit in the mid-to-premium band and appeal to anyone looking to relax after sightseeing.
