- Oshino Hakkai is known as the "Jiuzhaigou of Japan" and is designated as a national natural monument, one of the 100 best sources of water, and one of the New One Hundred Views of Mount Fuji.
- The Mount Fuji Panoramic Ropeway connects Lake Kawaguchi and Mount Tenjo, offering panoramic views of the beautiful Lake Kawaguchi below from inside the gondola.
- At Fujikawaguchiko Shiki-do Honpo, enjoy a rich matcha while admiring the beautiful scenery of Mount Fuji.
- Check-in at the popular photo spot - Lawson Kawaguchiko Station Mae store.
What to expect
This itinerary focuses on Mount Fuji as the absolute protagonist, offering a complete experience of this Japanese symbol from multiple perspectives: from the lake surface, mountain summit, to the villages 🗻.
- Take the Lake Kawaguchiko Kachikachi Mountain Ropeway slowly upwards. The view gradually opens up, and from the summit observation deck, you can take in both Mount Fuji and Lake Kawaguchiko. On clear days, you can even see the Southern Alps in the distance, creating a stunning visual 🚡. If the weather does not permit, take a lake cruise filled with a Sengoku period atmosphere; from December 7-18, 2026, the Lake Kawaguchiko Ropeway will be closed for maintenance, during which time you will visit the Lake Kawaguchiko Pleasure Boat - Akechi (Sengoku Warlord Boat), to admire Mount Fuji’s reflection up close from the water, allowing the scenery to unfold as you move, offering a more three-dimensional and leisurely perspective 🚤.
- Afterwards, enjoy a matcha experience by the lake, savoring the "ichigo ichie" spirit of the tea ceremony in a tranquil rhythm, allowing the natural scenery to seamlessly connect with traditional Japanese culture 🍵.
- Stroll to Oishi Park, where seasonal flower fields complement Mount Fuji. Lavender blooms in summer, and kochia in autumn, with each season presenting different layers of color 🌸. Along the way, visit the Lake Kawaguchiko Lawson convenience store and scenic photo spots, capturing the most everyday side of Mount Fuji in ordinary settings 📸.
- The itinerary concludes with a visit to Oshino Hakkai, where clear spring water from Mount Fuji's melted snow flows through the villages, creating a rustic and serene atmosphere that echoes the distant Mount Fuji, bringing a clear and soothing end to this journey 💧.
* Throughout this full-day itinerary, Mount Fuji is no longer just a distant backdrop, but a constant presence in your sight and camera lens. From aerial views, lake reflections, to village streetscapes, each appearance is slightly different, yet equally captivating. As the journey gradually slows down, the scenery transforms from breathtaking to gentle, allowing you to unconsciously remember Mount Fuji's most authentic and enduring beauty 🗻✨.

We where very lucky that the weather was great on April 9, 2025. Days prior and after was so cloudy. We are able to see the grand majectic Mt. Fuji in a very clear views. All the locations have clear views of Mt. Fuji. Our tour guide Li Ma by Gogoday was great and amazing. Very accomodating guide and learned alot from her. The kachi-kachi rope has a long line about an hour long and was not able to explore the top since we are time bound. Was only 3 mins at the top, huhuhu. Matcha experience is a so so. Maybe next time I will do without the Matcha experience.
The weather was great on February 12th. Our beautiful guide, Laner, was very attentive. The timing and instructions for each attraction were very clear. She spoke both English and Mandarin very well. ❤️She even gave us small gifts at the end❤️. The whole tour experience was very pleasant. Laner even helped me take photos with Mount Fuji since I was traveling alone. Thank You!
Zack is a very polite young man who managed our group efficiently. Despite our long journey due to heavy highway traffic, he adjusted the sequence of our stops, which turned out perfectly. The route for the journey was well planned, allowing us to enjoy the best views of Mount Fuji. The meeting point was also clearly communicated and easy to find.
Our Guide Sia gave clear instructions. Everything was in order so we never had a difficult time. She gave us souvenirs for the trip. Shes young and she is also funny. The trip itself is also very relaxed which i prefer, not a lot of walking as we have a toddler so this tour is a better option for those with young kids. Lunch is amazing.
Our tour guide LU was great! he was very informative and told us some history behind some buildings! took us to some great places and let us know what spots were good to take pictures! Thanks for being a great tour guide LU!
Our guide Vivienne was great. exceeds expectations all round - clear in explaining where we agree going / what we will be seeing; made time-keeping and heading back to bus easy, was pragmatic about the realities of a day trip without weighing us with endless caveats. She also arranged seating for us on the bus, which avoided much trouble amongst fellow passengers. I brought my parents on this trip and they found the entire experience with Vivienne very safe and worries-free. It was no mean feat as we had 39 people in our group and Vivienne was switching between 3 languages without pause (English, Mandarin, Japanese). I would recommend Vivienne without hesitation; and go on another tour guided by her in a heartbeat. PS. we saw much beautiful sights too as both the weather and Mt Fuji were kind to us.
The journey throughout is not hectic and every stay timing is sufficient. Grateful that we are able to see Mount Fuji as we know only 90days in a year that it is visible. Love the apple pie and the cruise ride though we not able to ride the cable car. The tea ceremony let us know the value and precious of meeting once in a life time.
Louis was amazing! We had obstacles but he made it work and still made it fun. The views of Mt. Fuji were great and he was very informative. Highly recommend, would do it again!!
The itinerary was well-planned, and our guide adjusted the order of attractions as needed when we encountered traffic or unexpected situations, ensuring we visited every planned spot. Our guide, Mr. Wang Zhe, and the driver were both kind and attentive. Since our family of four was the only Chinese-speaking group, the guide patiently explained each attraction and important details in both Chinese and English, which made us feel comfortable and engaged!
Erina was a very fun and helpful guide to us. She was also fluent in English which made the trip a lot easier. She also offered to take pictures and gave good recommendations especially with food.
