Tora-fugu Tei (とらふぐ亭) in Tokyo - Puffer Fish Specialist

It’s my first eating puffer fish. The meat is fresh but not special. This was really a new experience to me but I may not try second in the near future. It could attract more customers if the price is lower.

Easy to use and get confirmation from the restaurant. You could choose which area of fugu restaurant. We choose courses and we are full at the end.

It's very convenient to book a set meal. You don't have to worry about not being able to order when you get there. It's a one-stop service. It's a high-end restaurant. The service staff are very high-level and very formal. There are explanations in Chinese about how to eat, so you don't have to worry about not understanding Japanese. I made a reservation in Ueno. At this branch, the porridge cooked by the waiter at the table was super delicious, and the dessert at the end was also delicious, which was a perfect ending to the meal.

There is a private tatami room, the meals are exquisite, and the dining process is very enjoyable. The fried puffer fish is delicious, crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. The sashimi has a moist texture. The hot pot is light and refreshing, without too much seasoning. The service staff is friendly and professional. Recommended to experience it.

It's very affordable and definitely a decent meal. Of course it's not the best, but it doesn't cost $800 for two people. Finally, I added an extra charcoal-grilled puffer fish, which was really delicious.

This is an experience and a culinary adventure into such a unique meat. Before you enter, you will see a tank full of the fish. Once inside the service is friendly and informative, the atmosphere is traditional and relaxing. Everyone will find at least one dish that they prefer for taste and texture.

Ambience was great with very good Japanese feel. Service very personalised as we had one waitress tending to all our needs. Puffer fish was fresh and very well prepared and very tasty too. Last but not least, price is very reasonable and it is really great value for money. Highly recommended!
