Surf Lesson in Kuta by Bali Wau Surf

Suddenly, the pickup driver contacted me without introducing himself and said he would be waiting in front of my accommodation (the day before the lesson). When I said 'my reservation is for tomorrow', the driver told me to contact the instructor directly. When I contacted the instructor, he suddenly felt bad for the driver and said I should have checked in advance if he had time (why me?). The lesson was in one day, and isn't it the instructor's responsibility to arrive a day early? I was so absurd and upset that I cancelled the lesson (there was no refund after 24 hours). I haven't even received an apology. I was so young and pathetic.

The coach teaches very seriously and carefully, and will also encourage students to make them more confident. It is best to go earlier or later when it is not so hot.

The coach was very good, he even took photos, but I had to ask everyone to find it.

I booked for Surfing tomorrow last minute and luckily Bali Wau Surf accepts the booking with instant confirmation. Jonet taught us the basics of surfing and theory while Luis guides us in Surfing the waves of Kuta. It is my sister and I first ever surfing experience and it is phenomenal. At first my sister dont want to do surfing but as she tried it, she really liked it. Luis is so patient with me as I crashed on the waves several times and he keeps encouraging me that I can do it and praises us when we’re able to ride the waves. Surely gonna book it again once we’re back in Bali.

It was fun without a break because it was friendly and had endless practice. I was worried because the waves were quite big, but the kids were able to go in shallow areas and have long rides, so they enjoyed surfing on a whole new level. WAU surfing is the best.

I surfed once last year, so I just surfed for an hour without any basic lessons! As my skills improved, I was able to challenge myself with bigger waves and they even coached me on my posture, which was great! Thanks to them, I have more fun memories.

We just surfed 1:1 happily for 2 hours. The waves were bigger than I expected, so it was a little difficult, but the instructor handled the board well, so it wasn't too much of a problem. Not very friendly. But it lets me ride the waves without stopping. Conclusion: I think it would be a good choice for those who only want to ride boards. But if you want kindness, photos, etc., choose somewhere else.

It was a really great experience! Even though I was afraid of water, he helped me overcome it, so I had fun with surfing class. I think I was able to enjoy that moment because Teacher Eko kept cheering me on😊

Amazing experience! Joni was an awesome teacher, very patient and helpful. Bali Wau surfing wasn’t pushy at all like the other venders who were trying to get us to buy surf lessons. I wish we had more time in Bali to learn and surf with Bali Wau. wouldn’t go to anyone else.

very good and friendly instructors. Lubis taught my daughter patiently and was very polite and nice. Unfortunately my 10yo daughter was too afraid to stand up midway during the surfing lesson. But overall it was a good experience and Lubis even dropped us back to our hotel despite the package only offering a one way pick up.
