Takachiho Gorge tours

The place is very beautiful. The car is a van. Traveling to each place is far from each other, giving us little time to walk around. But I can understand. Received early in the morning, delivered late at night, total approximately 12 hours.

The timing of the tour was just right with enough time for each place without feeling rushed. Having lunch included in the tour was an excellent choice as we didn't have to think about what to order and wait for the meal- everything was prepared and waiting for us to arrive and tuck in. The guide, Liu, was also very clear in his explanations and instructions, speaking in 3 languages to make sure everyone on the tour understood. The only downside was the weather as it rained a little when we were at the Shirakawa river source.

The tour is highly recommended. The only thing was that we didn't always understand the guide and had to run briefly so as not to miss the departure time. We mostly kept to ourselves during the stay, and during the bus ride, the guide told us something about the different places.

It was a nice trip. although the weather did not help because of the rain, so we could not see the volcano creator.

Great tour with an excellent guide, Sun. we loved him. his English was very good and he was very knowledgeable. only thing is that there are a LOT of stairs and walking especially the last stop at the gourge. If you aren’t looking for a hike this might not be the best tour. Pro Tip. They have yellow flags at pick up.

The traffic was light despite it being a three-day weekend, making for a comfortable trip. However, due to certain conditions, I wasn't able to visit the Aso volcano crater this time. Also, I didn't have quite enough time in Takachiho, and rowing a boat solo might be a bit physically demanding.

Our tourist guide Miss Chen Yun is a friendly person, she told us wearing mask avoiding poisonous gas once reached to Aso Crater. Also reminded us drinking more water and sun protection all the time.

The tour guide went to help buy train tickets in the morning and then went to the first attraction, Takachiho Gorge. Unfortunately, I didn't mention the reservation for the boating tickets, which were all sold out on the day. I stayed in Takachiho Gorge for 1.5 hours, which was plenty of time. Then I went to the second attraction, Tianan River Source Shrine, which is also a small canyon with beautiful scenery. The time and place for lunch were also well arranged. The udon noodles were delicious. Finally, I went to Takachiho Railway Station to take the sky train. In the afternoon, only our group took the train. The driver was busy spraying bubbles for everyone to take pictures. It was really fun. The whole trip was great. It is suitable for independent travelers who don't drive themselves. You can also go to Takachiho Gorge with inconvenient transportation. I highly recommend the tour guide's professional explanation. It's a great trip.
