Located in Osaka, Tsutenkaku Tower is not only the city's symbol but is also a registered national cultural property. On the golden observation platform, you can take in the lively cityscape of Osaka, and don't forget to meet the famous "Billiken" statue, known for bringing good fortune to those who touch the soles of its feet. Surrounding Tsutenkaku Tower is the charming Shinsekai district, a nostalgic area with retro signboards and a vibrant history. The 100-meter steel tower itself may not be the tallest, but the tall building is a historic landmark inspired by the Eiffel Tower, which symbolizes the progress and innovation in Osaka.

I used the Kansai Thru Pass to visit Mount Koya and Arima Onsen this time, and of course, I also explored the local cuisine in Osaka, Kyoto, and Kobe. Many attractions in Kansai can only be reached by private railway, so this pass is perfect. The best thing about this pass is that it doesn't need to be used on consecutive days, which increases flexibility for independent travel planning. I will definitely consider using this pass again on my next trip to Kansai.

Great experience! There was also a special exhibit that we didn't get to see because the line was so long. It's a great place to bring kids. I didn't expect Tsutenkaku to be so much fun 👍

It's convenient to exchange at the airport, and you can use this ticket as soon as you enter the Osaka city area. Except for JR and Shinkansen lines, you can take almost any train with this ticket.

It was worth it if you are going to the Kansai area (Kobe, Osaka, Kyoto and Nara). I bought the 2 day pass and i maximized my travel to get my money’s worth. Tip: you can ride the rapid express, semi express and local trains but not the limited ones as it need additional payment for seat reservations. You will see have to identify which is which but once you get it, it will be smooth sailing. PS: Cannot be used for the JR lines, they have separate pass for that.
