Fantastic 5.0
The tour package made our trip convenient. Our guide Jimmy was very enthusiastic and made the tour more enjoyable even with the rainy weather. The Yufuin no Mori train is a must to experience, and luckily the rain stopped during our ride (delayed but it was a blessing in disguise). For us, the itinerary was well planned with ample time to explore each destination. Make sure to bring a pair of slippers if you want to try the foot bath in Umijigoku. We really enjoyed our trip, thank you!

This was an amazing experience! Our tour guide, Mrs. Nana, was very kind, friendly, and helpful throughout the trip. I would definitely recommend this tour to my friends. If you join this tour, don’t miss the onsen eggs at Umi Jigoku—they’re incredibly delicious! I only bought one, and I really regret not getting more. The croquettes at Yufuin Floral Village are also a must-try. I also wanted to try the grilled mushrooms, but unfortunately the queue was so long that they sold out before I could buy any. That was a little disappointing. The only downside was visiting in the summer. It was extremely hot, and walking around in the heat was quite tiring. Other than that, I had a great time!

We visited a lot of places during the tour and was able to have time to browse lots of souvenirs and food throughout. Mount Aso crater was unfortunately closed but we were still able to enjoy and take in the amazing views. Our guides especially Sun was so accommodating even when we me and my friend were the only 2 English speaking people in the trip. They were both really jolly and would give good infos about the places and also gave tips on food and where else to visit around Fukuoka. So thank you so much to them :)

this tour was really good if you love animals and want to see them up close. I enjoyed the guide Zhu Zhu was so sweet and even she spoke little English she was so great and made sure I was able to follow along with rest of the group. She was so delightful and kindhearted, helped me order all the foods form all the shops and stores and offered me her umbrella and even the sweet apples. I highly recommend this route you get to see lots in one day!

Our itinerary for this trip was: starting from Tenjin city center ➡️ Itoshima Hana Shio Pudding ➡️ Meoto Iwa (Wedded Rocks) at Futamigaura ➡️ Tsukamoto Fish Market ➡️ Miyajidake Shrine ➡️ Munakata Shrine. The driver was very thoughtful! His service attitude was incredibly friendly! He even recommended a delicious seafood restaurant, which my family also thoroughly enjoyed 👍🏽 The car was clean and tidy, and the entire journey went smoothly and perfectly 💯

Fantastic 5.0
Our day tour to Dazaifu, Yufuin, Kamado Jigoku, and Umi Jigoku was one of the highlights of our trip to Japan. The itinerary was well-paced, giving us enough time to explore, take photos, shop, and truly enjoy each stop. A special thanks to our tour guide, Vivian, for making the experience even more memorable. She shared interesting stories and historical facts about every place we visited, which made us appreciate each destination on a deeper level. Her instructions were always clear, and she managed the schedule efficiently, ensuring we had enough free time while keeping the tour running smoothly. Vivian also went the extra mile by recommending local specialties and must-try food, helping us make the most of our visit. Her friendliness, professionalism, and genuine care for everyone in the group made the entire trip enjoyable and stress-free. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Fukuoka and Beppu. If you get Vivian as your guide, you’re in excellent hands!

Fantastic 5.0
Even though it was raining, the overall itinerary was very well managed. We had a mini-bus with two guides: Zhu Zhu, who handled Chinese and Korean, and another male guide who provided explanations and commentary in fluent English. This was my first time on a one-day tour, and I was surprised that the guides even walked with us. Zhu Zhu is an excellent guide; she provided detailed information about restrooms and lunch options and consistently ensured the group stayed together and that everyone was accounted for. The entire trip was very enriching. Although the schedule was a bit tight, there was still enough time even for those who love taking photos. We even received small gifts at the end! Since I was staying in Takachiho, I opted out of the return trip, and Zhu Zhu was very enthusiastic in discussing my drop-off location. I'm so glad I joined this one-day tour, and I highly recommend it!

What to know before visiting Dazaifu

Quick snapshot of Dazaifu

Dazaifu is a compact cultural escape where tours, museums and hands-on cultural experiences dominate bookings. Demand on Klook is highly seasonal, with a pronounced spring peak and a very quiet late-summer trough that shapes how the year feels.

Best times to visit and price patterns

Klook data shows April is the busiest month while demand falls to its lowest in August. Prices rise into the winter and early-year months and are typically lowest around July; the priciest month on Klook historically is January. If you want lower prices and smaller crowds, aim for July or August; for peak-season atmosphere and the fullest range of tours and experiences, visit in April. Note that prices and demand don’t move perfectly together here: April is very busy but not the absolute priciest month, while the cheapest month lines up with one of the lowest-demand periods.

Tips for travellers from the Philippines

Most visitors from the Philippines who book Dazaifu experiences on Klook plan about a week ahead, so you’ll be fine booking a few days in advance for many activities. If you’re travelling in April—the peak month—consider securing popular tours earlier rather than last-minute; for late-summer trips you can often find lower prices with more flexible booking timing. Use Klook to compare available tour and museum options and lock in what fits your itinerary.
