Akaroa Harbour Nature Cruise
We had a memorable experience taking the Akaroa Harbour Nature Cruise. I was especially excited to see the different animals in the harbour, and we were lucky enough to see some dolphins who swam alongside the boat. We also saw some penguins and seals, but many were quite shy, and it might have been because of the weather since we went out on a rather windy day. It's nice how the boat is designed to allow you to step out onto the deck and look out from any angle, making sure you don't miss any animal sighting. The guides and boat staff were very friendly. There was a main guide that gave an audio tour of the harbour, all while pointing out different animals that came close to the boat. There were many families with kids during the tour, and I think it's safe to say that it's an activity the whole family can enjoy — whether you're in it for the animals or just enjoying a cruise around Akaroa's harbour.
