New VFS Global Visa Centers Coming Soon!
Starting April 7th, all Japan visa applications will be handled by the new Japan Visa Application Centres (JVAC) managed by VFS Global.
This means goodbye to the old system! To get ahead of the game, you can already book your appointments starting March 19th.
There will be five JVAC locations strategically placed across the country: Cebu City, Davao City, Makati City, Parañaque City, and Quezon City.
Prospecting visa applicants can already book appointments via the VFS Global website starting March 19.
Important Dates and Changes:
April 6th is the cutoff date for applications submitted through accredited agencies. After this date, Japan Visa application prospects must go through the JVAC.
If you've already applied through an agency before April 6th, don't worry! You'll still pick up your passport from that agency.

The embassy's goal is to provide us with "better service and convenience." These new centers will handle both Japan visa application submissions and passport releases, making the process more efficient.
Japan Visa Application Center Locations and Operating Hours:
- Cebu: Faustina Center, Level 6, F. Cabahug Street, Kasambagan, Cebu City
- Davao: Unit: FEG 9 -10 2nd Floor, Alfresco Area, Felcris Centrale, Quimpo Blvd., Davao City
- Makati: Ground Floor, Makati Circuit Corporate Center Tower Two, AP Reyes St. Barangay Carmona, Theater Drive Circuit
- Parañaque: Level 3, Parqal Mall, Building 5, Diokno Avenue corner Macapagal Boulevard, Barangay Tambo
- Quezon City: Level 3, Gateway Tower Mall, Araneta City
Operating Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM (both for application and passport release).
Application Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM to 2:00 PM.
Japan Visa Application Fees:
There will be a center usage fee of PHP 520, plus the standard visa fee, which varies depending on your nationality and the type of visa you're applying for. Both fees are payable at the time of application.
This shift to VFS Global-managed centers is a positive step towards a smoother Japan visa application experience. So, if Japan is on your travel bucket list, start preparing and get ready to book your appointment!
