we had such a wonderful time during the photo session with Meng. he’s very nice and will help with posing. He took us around to different locations so we got a variety of pictures. my husband and I LOVE our photos so much and are so happy we decided to do a photo session dressed in Kimono and we haven’t even sent in our favorites for the touch up’s yet haha. The shop has a lot of different kimono to choose from, for men and women. They are so helpful in not only dressing you, but helping you to choose which kimono to wear and which patterns/ styles. They take great care of you when you’re there and you’re able to leave your bags there (clothing, shoes, etc.) and they give you a bag to match your outfit so you’re still able to carry money and your passport with you while you go out and shop about. I always wanted to dress in kimono, ever since I was a kid, and I’m so happy with the experience I had here! I booked a snapshot photo shoot in Kyoto and looked around several kimono rental shops before deciding on Kanwa Kimono. There was an additional charge for the lace kimono and hair accessories, but I'm so glad I did ✩*:.⸝⸝>o<⸝⸝.:*✩ The staff are also kind and gentle! ꉂ ･ ･ ☆ They even added various obi decorations to make it pretty. I was worried I'd get wet because it was pouring rain, but they told me it would be okay. Thanks to them, I was able to take many pretty pictures and it's a memorable Kyoto, so I want to visit again next time.

Very friendly and helpful staff. Staff speaks Japanese, Mandarin and English. Good choice of kimono for all genders plus kids. Easy to find. Take bus 206 from Kyoto station and walk about 30m and you will find it on your left.

I had the most incredible experience renting a kimono through Klook! From start to finish, everything was fantastic. The attention to detail during the dressing process was remarkable, and you could really feel the effort put into ensuring every part of the kimono was perfectly fitted. It was a beautiful way to experience Japanese culture up close, and I appreciated the artistry behind the traditional dressing ritual. I also opted for the additional hair styling service, and I absolutely loved how it turned out! I truly felt like a princess for the day—my hair was done to perfection, adding the perfect finishing touch to the whole experience. I arrived 30 minutes late for my reservation, but they greeted me kindly. It took me a while to choose my clothes, but they didn't rush me, and when I was deciding on a kimono and obi, they recommended it to me. I wanted to look prettier and more gorgeous, so I got my hair done for a fee, but they didn't pressure me or anything.😊 They asked me to choose a flower to put in my hair, so I chose one, and they put another one in to match the one I chose, and I could return it by 6pm.ㅎㅎ When I wore the kimono, it was tight enough, so I didn't have any trouble eating, and it wasn't inconvenient to go to the bathroom. Since it was a couple set, there were restrictions on choosing kimonos, but I still liked several, so it was hard to choose.ㅎㅎ The bag was also free to rent, so I could choose whatever I wanted👍 It rained on the day I rented it, but they lent me an umbrella so I could walk around comfortably. Thanks to them, I was able to have a good experience and good memories.🥰

kimino rental was a real experience foe us . we have been only seeing in tvs or social media , People wearning and walking and we got that chance to experience . on the it wwas raining heavily . we reached late and the lady still said its ok and let us choose the kimino . they all speak English so it was handy .

Our appointment was at 930am and we were able to choose the colors we wanted. They were very accommodating to our requests. Definitely, I will be recommending them. I wish though that we got a professional photographer so my sisters ans I could have more trio shots.
