What to expect
During the Japanese occupation, the influx of Japanese immigrants was particularly great in the Hualien area, a period of history that is still very much in evidence today. If you don’t drive in Hualien, you can consider participating in the tour (Mr. Sam’s cafe is closed on Thursday, and you can only take pictures outside)
