Attraction information

• 【Boat Tour Information】The Hozugawa River Boat Tour takes approximately 2 hours and operates until December 13, 2026 (Sunday). Non-operating days: August 11 and September 2. Actual departure times may be delayed by approximately 30 minutes, and queuing may be required during peak periods; we appreciate your understanding. The tour operates normally in the rain and provides canopies. In case of severe weather such as strong winds or rising river levels, the tour may be suspended (including on clear days). If suspended, boat tour fees will be refunded, and the itinerary will be adjusted to other activities in Arashiyama.
• 【Boat Ride Restrictions】 Children under 80cm in height are not permitted to ride; individuals not wearing life vests correctly or those feeling unwell are prohibited from riding; children must be accompanied by an adult (13 years or older); wheelchair users and individuals with certain special conditions require assistance from an accompanying person (wheelchairs cannot be directly taken onto the boat, but guide dogs are permitted).
• 【Sagano Romantic Train and Hozugawa River Boat Ride Schedule Explanation】 This itinerary specifies taking the Sagano Romantic Train No. 9 (departing Saga Station at 13:02 to arrive at Kameoka Station at 13:25), and is arranged to take the 14:00 Hozugawa River Boat Ride. Please be sure to take the designated train and boat ride; changes to other schedules are not possible. If tickets for the 14:00 Hozugawa River Boat Ride are sold out on the day, the itinerary may be adjusted to the 13:00 schedule or another available time slot. In such cases, the Sagano Romantic Train schedule will also be adjusted accordingly to Sagano Romantic Train No. 7 (departing Saga Station at 12:02 to arrive at Kameoka Station at 12:25). *The above arrangements may be adjusted based on actual ticket availability on the day. • If the Hozugawa River Boat Ride is suspended due to weather, water levels, or other reasons, the boat ride itinerary will be canceled, and the corresponding time will be added to free sightseeing in the Arashiyama area.

• For smooth entry, please refrain from wearing flip flops, shorts, tank tops, or sleeveless shirts
• It is your responsibility to inform the operator if you have any special health conditions. The operator is not responsible for any adverse effects which may arise from any treatment.

Vehicle & luggage info
