What to expect
Welcome to our extraordinary journey! Together, we will explore Amanohashidate, celebrated as one of Japan's three most scenic spots; Ine no Funaya (Ine Boathouses), known as the "Venice of the Sea in Japan"; and Miyama Kayabuki no Sato, one of Japan's three major thatched-roof village settlements. This will be an immersive day tour that combines magnificent natural wonders, the charm of a millennium of history, delightful maritime experiences, and the aesthetics of mountain village homestays, taking you through the sea, sandbars, and ancient villages to encounter the most authentic beauty of Japan. An Immersive Journey of Magnificent Natural Beauty: Admire Ine Bay, hailed as one of the most beautiful bays in the world, resembling a dazzling sapphire nestled between the sea and the mountains, making you feel as if you are in a captivating painting, refreshing your mind and spirit. A Deep Exploration of Historical Charm: Stroll through the quaint and elegant boathouse streets, as if traveling back to the Edo period. Step into Ineura Park to admire the unique boathouse architecture of Ine Town up close, and appreciate its rich historical style and the wisdom of the fishermen. Intimate Interaction with Maritime Fun: Embark on an Ine Bay cruise, where you will delve into the embrace of the bay and enjoy a panoramic view of the interwoven boathouses, azure sea, and green mountains from the sea. As the cruise ship slowly advances, you will have the opportunity to interact closely with the seagulls flying alongside, fully enjoying the unique maritime fun. Magnificent Perspective from the High-Altitude Cable Car: Take Amanohashidate's unique single-seat swing-style cable car, leisurely ascending to the Hiryukan Observatory. Here, using the classic "Matanozoki" (inverted perspective), you can capture the spectacular view of Amanohashidate as if it were a dragon soaring into the sky, experiencing the shocking charm of "Japan's Three Scenic Spots." Wise Prayers at Ancient Temples: Step into Chion-ji Temple and experience the solemn and peaceful Zen atmosphere. Here, you can sincerely pray to Monju Bosatsu, who is in charge of wisdom, seeking progress in studies and success in your career. You can also experience the unique fan-shaped Goshuin seal, taking away a blessing from the ancient temple. Time Travel in the Thatched Ancient Village: In the afternoon, we will head to Miyama Town's Kayabuki no Sato, hidden deep in the mountains of Kyoto. Here, 38 traditional houses with thatched roofs over 200 years old are preserved, with babbling streams and rising smoke, like a tranquil ukiyo-e painting. Strolling through it, you feel as if you have stepped into a nostalgic picture scroll of the Showa era, experiencing the simplicity and poetry of traditional Japanese mountain village life. This is not just a day trip, but a triple poetic dialogue about the sea, sandbars, and ancient villages.

Jack— our Tour Guide is very accommodating and he was able to manage our expectations. He gave us an overview of what to expect especially with the eagles 🤭Definitely include these places to your trip! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Thank you, Jack!!!
Despite the rainy weather, we still had a great time visiting Ine Village, Amanohashidate, and Miyama. Our tour guide, Apple, was very punctual, organized, and kept everything running smoothly throughout the day. A nice bonus was getting to try the local Miyama milk and donut, which made the experience even more memorable. Highly recommended, even on a rainy day! :)
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ This day trip was a fantastic experience! Special thanks to our tour guide, Mr. Chen, who was enthusiastic and responsible throughout the entire trip. He provided detailed explanations, not only introducing the history and culture of Amanohashidate, Ine Funaya, and Miyama, but also patiently reminded us of meeting times and important notes for the tour, making the whole journey easy and enjoyable. Our driver drove smoothly and safely, making both the outbound and return journeys very comfortable and reassuring. The magnificent scenery of Amanohashidate, the unique charm of Ine Funaya, and the tranquil and rustic beauty of Miyama's thatched-roof village all left a deep impression on me. The itinerary was well-planned, allowing for thorough sightseeing without feeling rushed. The most delightful surprise was receiving Miyama milk as a complimentary gift at the end of the trip. This thoughtful little present brought a perfect close to our journey. Thank you, Mr. Chen and our driver, for your hard work! I highly recommend this tour; it definitely deserves a five-star rating! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Amazing day trip and one of the highlights of my Kyoto visit! Ine Village was beautiful and the ferry ride where we fed the seagulls was so much fun. Amanohashidate had stunning views, a scenic chairlift ride, and incredibly blue water. Miyama’s traditional thatched-roof houses were also fascinating to see and offered a completely different side of Japan. A special thanks to our guide, Amy, who was friendly, organized, and went above and beyond throughout the day. She shared interesting information, helped take photos, brought snacks, wrote our names in Japanese, and gave us souvenir stamp cards, which made the experience feel very personal. The tour was excellent value for money considering transportation, guiding, and the number of places covered. Highly recommended for anyone wanting to explore beyond Kyoto city!
it was an amazing experience, Anson taught me so much history about Japan. it was an amazing experience me and my son enjoyed that so wonderful. I want to thank Klook, the driver and the guide that they were super amazing super polite, well manner, and the way he got us through the tour was amazing.
Our Guide Fredrick was a pro active high on energy and well managed guide. The tour was smooth and easy. It was a great decision to travel to this destination for a day tour. Makes me wanna visit again. 100% recommended
Great trip with a very organised and friendly tour guide, Amy! Looked after us all so well for the whole day. Absolutely loved the chair lift and the stunning views, a highlight of the day. Would absolutely recommend ☺️
The tour was well organised. Amy our guide was great that we ended up booking another tour with the her. She was so knowledgeable, a happy bunny, she made sure that everyone was ok and went around to take photos for all of us on the tour. She was a photographer for 17 years so we got great photos. The scenery was beautiful, if you love nature this is the one for you. Warning do not bring food outside the eagles will go for your food.
Our guide, Steven was excellent and patient. He was effectively bilingual (English and Chinese) and we enjoyed his introduction of the various places of attraction. He also treated the tour members Japanese sweet snacks, ranked no. 1 milk in Kansai and Amanohashidate postcard for our keepsake. Although the travelling time took 2.5 hours to the first place of attraction, it was stil worth visiting Ine Bay and Amanohashidate - they were also less crowded. Highly recommend this day trip for those staying in Osaka!
If you’re solo traveling or struggle organise tours to off-the-beaten-track places of Japan, this is perfect for you. You can enjoy a reliable & relaxing bus ride to three incredible places. The cruise was the best way to see and discover Ine since you get that wonderful coastal view. Feeding the seagulls was very fun and everyone was laughing a lot. The good thing is you don’t immediately move on after that but do another stop on the main road, where you have time to visit cafes in the boathouses. Amanohshidate was also amazing, from the temple to the local shops and soba restaurants (総本家ちとせ茶屋!!), as well as the chairlift and viewpoint, which you don’t want to miss out on. Finally, the historic Miyama town was truly special and 45 minutes actually was enough to visit the shops, museum and the cosy little café. Steven, the guide, brought lots of positive energy, provided insights on the different places and went beyond that with personal recommendations via the WhatsApp group.
