Visit classic Japanese landmarks and savor the charm of two ancient cities on a one-day tour that encapsulates both Kyoto and Nara. In the morning, we will depart from Osaka and take a private car directly to the ancient capital of Nara.
Our first stop is Nara, an ancient city, where we will visit the most famous attraction, Nara Park. Located at the foot of Mount Wakakusa, Nara Park covers an area of 5.11 square kilometers and has been designated as a National Scenic Spot. The park is home to many precious historical buildings, such as Todai-ji Temple, where the “Nara Great Buddha” is located. In addition, you can get up close and personal with the adorable deer, playing and feeding them.
At noon, we will take a private car to the ancient city of Kyoto and visit Fushimi Inari Shrine, which has been ranked as the number one “most popular Japanese attraction among foreigners” in a survey by the world’s largest travel website for three consecutive years, and is a representative classic of Kyoto. Fushimi Inari Shrine attracts countless domestic and foreign tourists every year with its vermilion torii gates and white fox-shaped ema (votive tablets), and is a classic landmark in Kyoto that you absolutely cannot miss.
In the afternoon, we will arrive at the last stop of the trip, Kiyomizu-dera Temple. Kiyomizu-dera Temple, a World Cultural Heritage site, is as famous as Kinkaku-ji Temple and Arashiyama, and is one of the “Three Famous Sites” of Kyoto, the ancient capital, and is one of the most popular attractions in Kyoto. Kiyomizu-dera Temple and the surrounding areas of Ninenzaka, Sannenzaka, Gion, and Yasaka Shrine together create Kyoto’s most unique Japanese atmosphere.
We offer exquisite small group tours for up to 9 people with a Chinese-speaking guide. The itinerary is well-paced, allowing you to easily experience the nature, history, and spirituality of Kyoto in one trip.
You can choose to disembark at Kyoto Station on the return trip, but Kyoto Station does not offer a morning pick-up service.

Reviews
Standing before the Great Buddha Hall of Todai-ji Temple, one feels incredibly small. Not physically small, but small in the scale of time. This, the world's largest wooden structure, has stood for over 1,200 years. Inside the hall, the Great Buddha, approximately fifteen meters tall, gazes down serenely, his eyes having weathered a thousand years of storms, now resting upon you. In that moment, all imaginings of "greatness" take on a tangible form. A day in Nara is not just about seeing deer; it's a conversation with the enduring legacy of the Tang Dynasty, a silent stand before history itself.
Great experience visiting Nara! The deer were super cute and the atmosphere in the park was very peaceful. We had plenty of time to walk around, feed the deer, and enjoy the scenery. The whole trip was smooth and well arranged. I would definitely recommend this tour to anyone visiting Japan.
Value for money. We have requested for an english speaking driver and they catered for us. He is very accommodating in terms of our request.
Tour was very convenient with hotel pick up and drop off. Nice experience to have seen the deers upclose. Great to be able to walk in the streets of Kyoto and see the temple and shrine. Lucky that there still Cherry Blossoms during our trip.
Joining this small group tour with my boyfriend really enhanced our Kyoto trip! The driver understood exactly what couples look for. He helped us take some incredibly atmospheric photos at Fushimi Inari's Senbon Torii, and even intentionally avoided crowds so we could walk hand-in-hand through a short section of the torii tunnel. The deer at Nara Park were so charming; the driver even taught us how to use deer crackers to entice them into making cute bowing gestures. Finally, at Sannenzaka in Kiyomizu-dera, the setting sun cast a beautiful glow on the stone path, creating an incredibly romantic atmosphere. The driver was thoughtful throughout the entire trip, even preparing snacks in the car. These little details truly made the experience feel like excellent value for money!
Overall, the experience was quite good. There are many ancient buildings, giving it a strong sense of Japanese culture, and walking through the streets was very pleasant.
Easy to communicate with the travel guide. punctual, helpful & nice driver ( speaks a little english), comfortable car. tour is not rushed & open to adjustments with time & schedule. we are 7. and the tour is like a private tour since there are no joiners.
This Kyoto-Nara small-group tour was absolutely perfect! From the iconic red torii gates of Fushimi Inari to the friendly deer in Nara Park and the breathtaking views from Kiyomizu-dera, every stop was unforgettable. Our driver was incredibly professional and made the whole day effortless. Highly recommended!
This small group tour was more than just sightseeing; the driver was incredibly knowledgeable about Kyoto's history and culture, sharing many fascinating stories along the way. For example, he explained the fox messengers at Fushimi Inari, what each of the three streams at Kiyomizu-dera's Otowa Waterfall represents, and why Nara's deer are considered messengers of the gods. This background knowledge added significant depth to every attraction. The itinerary was also very smooth, never feeling rushed. We even had ample time to leisurely explore the traditional craft shops along Ninen-zaka and Sannen-zaka near Kiyomizu-dera. If you're looking for more than just a quick photo op, this tour is truly perfect!
Seeing deer bow in Nara, walking through thousands of torii gates, and standing on the Kiyomizu stage in one day — this tour delivered all the iconic experiences perfectly.
