What to expect
- Itinerary -
- Fukuroda Falls
Fukuroda Falls, ranked number one among Japan's Top 100 Waterfalls, is located in Daigo Town, Ibaraki Prefecture. It is a famous waterfall on the Taki River, a tributary of the Kuji River, and is known as one of "Japan's Three Famous Waterfalls." Its uniqueness lies in the water flowing down the rock wall in four stages, with a drop of about 120 meters and a width of about 73 meters, presenting a magnificent view with distinct layers, both soft and strong.
- Hitachi Seaside Park
Located in Ibaraki Prefecture, Japan, it was once a military site and was converted into a national park and opened to the public in 1973. The park covers an area of approximately 200 hectares and is divided into flower areas, grassland areas, dune areas, and amusement park areas. Large-scale flower fields can be seen everywhere. In spring, there are daffodils, tulips, and rapeseed blossoms; in early summer, there are nemophila and roses; in summer, there are sunflowers and lavender; in autumn, there are kochia and cosmos; and in winter, there are plum blossoms and daffodils. The pale blue nemophila sea in mid-to-late April and the red kochia in October are particularly famous.
- Oarai Isosaki Shrine
Oarai Isosaki Shrine is famous for its "Kamiiso Torii" standing on a rock by the sea. It is said that the rock where the torii gate is located is the place where the god descended, hence the name "Kamiiso." With the coastline as a backdrop, it attracts many photography enthusiasts from home and abroad at any time. Especially at sunrise, when the waves are rising, you can capture a magnificent and stunning view!

Reviews
Wonderful trip, 3 beautiful spots in one day. Kind and friendly tour guide, Ms. Ana. Tour operator should update meeting place information - it is now GinzaNovo (not Tokyu Plaza Ginza) - to avoid confusion.
The meeting point was easy to find. The guide was great and spoke 3 languages. The transportation was good, and the schedule for each location was appropriate. The only downside was that it was a long weekend, so there was a lot of traffic, which made us very tired after the trip. But the place was beautiful and worth the trip. The price was not expensive at all because it included transportation.
The scenery is very pretty and tour guide can speak fluent Chinese and Cantonese.
I don’t usually leave reviews, but the excellent service of my tour guide today, Ms Wei, left my family and I very satisfied with our experience and is well-deserving of this 5-star review. Firstly, I’d like to thank her for her care and meticulousness in taking care of the tour group - my family often ends up trailing behind the group due to my elderly companion, but Ms Wei ensures that she waits for all of us, and helped to clarify our doubts with the staff due to the language barrier. Thanks to her, we even scored a good few family photos! We find her to be approachable, friendly, and would highly recommend Ms Wei for anyone going on future tours helmed by her.
While group tours inevitably have tight schedules, the tour guide and driver were excellent. Ibaraki in the fall is definitely worth a visit, especially Hitachi Seaside Park, where you could easily spend an entire day. The sea Oarai Isosaki Shrine's torii gate is stunning, although the shrine itself is relatively small. Also, the early bird tour didn't allow us to see the autumn leaves at Fukuroda Falls. I'd like to go again if I have the chance.
We had a very wonderful time with our Ibaraki Tour. We appreciate our tour guide, Ms.Carp, for showing and explaining the history and highlights of the places we visited. She spoke three languages, a big plus for us tourists. The Hitachi Seaside Park is a must-see for all nature and flower lovers :). Kudos to Lion Travel Japan for this well-planned tour.
This was my first time joining a Klook tour, and the tour members and our guide, Marco, were all great. The itinerary was well-organized, covering destinations like Fukuroda Falls, Oarai Shrine, and Hitachi Seaside Park. We were also blessed with fantastic weather, making for an unforgettable trip to Ibaraki for my mom and me.
The tour guide was great and explained the historical stories well. However, the itinerary felt very rushed. Only having two hours at the park, including lunch, wasn't enough time. 😮💨
Tour Guide is good
It was very windy when we arrived in Hitachi. The meeting place was easy to find, which was convenient. However, the only downside of the trip was that the tour guide did not contact us the day before or on the day itself. This caused some confusion since there were many other tourists with different tour packages at the same meeting point.
