11/6 Participate in Klook’s one-day tour: Ashikaga City Red Leaves One-day Guided Tour (Watarase Gorge Railway & Takatsuto Gorge & Ashikaga Koh no Hana Garden), departing from Shinjuku Center Building at 8:50 am, the traffic is smooth, about 11 Order the salmon rice bowl set meal at Imachi Japanese Restaurant. In the afternoon, we went to Lake Somu, and then took the Watarase Valley Railway to enjoy the red leaves on both sides of the river. The tour guide said it would take another two weeks to see the full glory of the red leaves. The train only has one carriage, so we took four stops and got off at Minunuma Station, and walked a short distance to the suspension bridge to see the beautiful scenery of Takatsuto Gorge. The itinerary specially arranges to go to the famous Ashikaga Flower Park at night to watch the bright light show of 4 million lights.

We gathered at 7:30 in the morning. We took an early morning flight to the hotel, put down our luggage and went directly to the meeting point. Before the first stop was 11am, we went for lunch. The taste was nothing special. It was udon + fish rice. I felt so full after that. Went to see the dam, it was very windy and cold After the train, we went to the left-hand mountain trail. There is a mountain road that is about half an hour away. You can walk on it while viewing the mountains, water, and red leaves. They are all pretty good. There are quite a few Japanese people who are walking together. It’s a pity that we don’t have much time. I want to take my time. If you don’t want to go, you can stop at the nearby shrine. The last stop is the Flower of Light Garden. When you enter, you will see something flashing like you didn’t expect. It’s really hard to get a good picture with a mobile phone (the most skilled person in the test). The location of the castle is very beautiful, but it is a test of whether 2 hours of mobile phone time is enough. After taking the photo, I waited in line to buy souvenirs. Finally, I returned to Shinjuku without traffic jam (lucky). Overall, it was around 8pm. Because there were no red leaves, attraction D was overshadowed by the fact that the tour guide was very experienced (the second time I met him XD). He could understand English well and everything went smoothly and happily. After meeting the group members, we accidentally visited other attractions. So amazingwww

Overall it's very good, but unfortunately the weather is hot this year and I didn't see too many layers of colors. Klook said we would arrive at 08:35, but after we arrived on time, the tour guide didn't come at all. Later, we heard from the tour guide that the meeting time was 09:00, and we saw a group of people waiting at the door, and even those sitting nearby were kicked away. The tour guide did not have a red flag hanging on his body when he arrived, so please remind us of this. We are checking whether there are vegetarians on site, so we recommend you check before participating. The tour guide was very kind. There was only one Japanese person in the group, but he used translation software to explain the scenic spots and features along the way. The lunch dishes were all vegetable dishes, and frankly I felt a little hungry at the end. My time control was pretty good, but it was a pity that I had too little time for the last attraction, Ashikaga Light Flower Garden. It was really beautiful, but I could only take a quick look at the flowers, and even buy souvenirs quickly.

This Autumn Maple Leaves Sightseeing a day Tour enables one to pack in various locations within a day, though it ended quite late, past 8pm. First, the lunch in a traditional restaurant was a simple affair. And we were given less than an hour to eat as we had arrived later than expected due to some traffic but more so because the guide waited for a family of 6 that arrived over 15 minutes late and we left 25 minutes past the appointed time. We had to rush for the local train with fixed timing but it wasn’t impressive as it was crowded with other tourists and local folks so we were packed standing. The windows were dirty so we couldn’t see much unless we squeezed to the front of the train and pushed others out of the way. However, the scenic views at the Dam and the Bridge were beautiful. The Ashikaga Flower Park was really a winter illumination site and the grounds were big. The shops were a bonus as we were able to buy souvenirs and confections.

the tour was good except for the beginning part where some late comers arrived late, probably need to find the gathering place. This caused getting to lunch late hence the food a bit cold. The tour guide, Juninho San was good and helpful. explained very detail. Overall, it is a good one-day tour to the country side and we got to see the autumn leaves. Bus ride was timely and the driver drove safely.

Really nice and cozy trip with cheerful and funny tour guide Yui was a nice getaway from concrete jungle of Tokyo, just to slow pace and enjoy the nature. Especially the train ride was really nice, but my advice is to wait for all the people to board in and enter last at the front of the train, so you can see the train driver doing his thing 👌
