Embark on a journey to the clouds! Our meticulously crafted one-day tour of Tianmen Mountain in Zhangjiajie takes you to experience the magnificent scenery of the "Soul of Wuling." Ride the Tianmen Mountain cable car, piercing through clouds and fog, directly to the summit at an altitude of 1300 meters, overlooking the winding 99-bend mountain road. (Ticket, cable car, one-way escalator, environmental protection vehicle within the scenic area, and shoe covers are included).
Witness the imposing Tianmen Cave, a karst cave that pierces through the mountain, standing 131.5 meters high and over 50 meters wide, like a gift from the heavens, mysterious and spectacular. Challenge yourself on the thrilling glass skywalk, with a sheer abyss under your feet and magnificent mountain views before you, experiencing the unparalleled sensation of "walking in the sky."
Stroll along the Ghost Path, built along the cliffs, and experience the wonderful feeling of being in the clouds and perfectly integrated with nature. Tianmen Mountain combines peaks, rocks, springs, streams, clouds, and forests, integrating majesty, wonder, beauty, danger, and tranquility, offering a double feast for the eyes and the soul.
[Optional] Watch the "Tianmen Mountain Fox Fairy Show," carefully created by the famous director Zhang Yimou's team, with special effects performed directly in the valley; the love story of a fox and a scholar is heart-wrenching; when the lights are all turned on at night, the entire mountain is like a fairyland.
End of the tour: After the tour, you will be returned to Zhangjiajie city. If you are staying in a city hotel, we will take you to the hotel entrance!

Beautiful, but it doesn't take you to see one of the most beautiful attractions (the Tianmen Mountain Temple). Choose the route you prefer from line A, B, or C. It simply changes the order in which you see and take the various means of transportation (cable cars and escalators). We did line B. If you do as we did and take the tour in Chinese, know that they are always extremely kind and ready to help, but they don't know how to organize it well because they are a bit lost themselves. Remember that if you take the tour with the show included, they must tell you a meeting time to take you to see it. We eventually left the group once the tour circuit was finished, shortly before taking the cable car for the return, because we wanted to see what was not included in the circuit (scenic viewpoint reachable by cable car, long overhanging road that runs along the mountain, Wishing Forest, Tianmen Mountain Temple). We had about 4 hours of break from the end of the tour to the start of the show.
Mrs. Chen Daiji was friendly to everyone, the tour was on time, and she was very helpful with taking photos and providing explanations for each place. Thank you.
The tour guide is not professional at all though informative. She left us in the mountain midway and told us to tour around alone with vauge information about the route. It seems like she is rushing through the day and she is not friendly. At some point she is quite rude. At the end, she just gave us the cable car mountain tickets and leave us alone. I had to message her to realized that tour has ended. She told us to walk back to the office instead of providing a ride.

Scenic Area Tips
- The mountaintop mini-cable car is available for an additional CNY 25 per person. Please choose according to your needs.
- Due to the popularity of Tianmen Mountain, expect longer wait times for cable cars or environmental protection buses during peak season. Please be prepared for this!
- In the event of severe weather (heavy rain, ice, etc.), the glass walkway may be temporarily closed. Your understanding is appreciated!
- Meals are not provided; please bring your own snacks.
- From December to the end of February of the following year, Tianmen Cave will be closed due to winter icing. Only mountaintop tours will be arranged. Thank you for your understanding.
Ticket and ID Tips
- Tianmen Mountain tickets require one ticket per ID. A correct ID number and name must be provided. Please remind guests to bring their original ID card before joining the tour. If a guest loses their ID card and cannot purchase a group ticket, they will need to make up the ticket difference of CNY 80 per person.
- To divert crowds, the scenic area offers the following tour routes: Round-trip cable car routes A, B, and C; and one-way cable car routes 1 and 2. Prices are the same. During peak season, you may not be able to choose a specific route. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
Discount Policy Tips
- Some attractions included in the itinerary offer ticket discounts to specific certificate holders according to local scenic area regulations. Please bring valid documents such as student ID cards, senior citizen cards, retirement certificates, military officer certificates, and disability certificates, and present them to the tour guide in advance.
- Seniors aged 60 and above can receive a refund of CNY 30, and seniors aged 65 and above can receive a refund of CNY 70.
Travel Instructions
- Please remember to bring all relevant documents such as ID cards, senior citizen cards, disability certificates, and student ID cards when traveling.
- Please be aware that this tour is a combination of individual travelers/private tour. For group tours, segmented specialized tour guides may be arranged, and there may be changes in vehicles and tour guides. Private tours will not have changes in vehicles or tour guides throughout the entire trip.
- Scenic areas are affected by many factors and often require queuing to purchase tickets or waiting. This is beyond the control of the travel company. The sightseeing time of the scenic spots listed in the above itinerary does not include waiting time for scenic spot buses or queuing time.
Seniors
- Seniors aged 70 (inclusive) or above who book a trip must sign a "Health Certificate" with our company and be accompanied by a family member or friend (excluding those who cannot be received or have limited reception due to service capabilities) before traveling.
- Due to limited service capabilities, we are unable to accept bookings from tourists over the age of 81. Thank you for your understanding.
- Because the intensity of different route itineraries is different, please ensure that you are healthy enough to travel. Please consult customer service for specific age restrictions.
Minors
- Tourists under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a family member (excluding those who cannot be received or have limited reception due to service capabilities) to participate in the tour.
- Due to limited service capabilities, we are unable to accept bookings from tourists under the age of 18 traveling alone. Thank you for your understanding.
