Reviews
We had the pleasure of exploring Kamakura with Toshi, an outstanding tour guide who brought the city’s history to life. Her extensive knowledge and fun approach made the tour engaging and memorable. She was incredibly kind, and her enthusiasm kept us interested every step of the way. This trip will forever be remembered because of Toshi. Thank you so much!!
This is an amazing and unique tour around Kamakura and is well worth the cost. What made it exceptional was our very kind and wonderful guide Toshi-san who is extremely knowledgeable about Kamakura and Japan’s history. The information she shares enhances the experience by providing more context as you visit multiple Shinto shrines and Buddhist temples. Having a guide with you provides personal touches you will not achieve just through guide books alone. You may feel like you can explore on your own, which is true. However, the guide enhances and expedites the experience - every detail is thought through - coins prepared for offerings at temples, restaurant reservation for a delicious meal, knowledgeable routes so you don’t get lost, and factoids along the way. One of the highlights of the tour is a short hike along a beautiful mountain trail. This Kamakura tour is special and will forever be a treasured memory!
This trip was truly beautiful. It felt like a genuine connection with nature and all the shrines and temples. Our tour guide, Teiko-san, was incredible—so sweet and made us feel right at home. I'm really going to miss them. Just a heads-up, there’s quite a bit of walking involved, but for those who enjoy it, you'll absolutely love this experience!
