What to expect
Escape the busy streets of Siem Reap for a couple of hours and see the quieter side of Cambodia with this one day tour beyond the city. In the morning, you'll get picked up at your hotel, then proceed to the ticket office to purhase individual Angkor Passes for the group. Once that's all settled, hop inside a four-wheeled tuk-tuk, the most commonly-used vehicle in the country. Enjoy the drive to Kbal Spean, which lasts about a couple of hours, all while you observe the local residents milling about and doing their day-to-day tasks. From the drop off point, you'll begin to hike up through the forest, with breaks every now and then to take a sip of the bottled water provided. Try to look for the unique flora and fauna in the area, some of which are difficult to find outside this forest, as well as some marvelous boulder formations. Once you reach the river, you'll be greeted by an impressive carving of Vishnu on the upper end, which has since been roped off to prevent damage to it. Bend down and marvel at the intricate carvings on the shoreline and on the riverbed itself, depicting a variety of images such as animals, as well as the Hindu gods Vishnu and Shiva. Cool off from the hike as you make yourself to the base of the waterfall, with a shallow pool of water below, before you start to make your way back down the hill. You'll then enjoy a delicious lunch, at your own expense, then be taken back to your accommodation in the city.

Reviews
It's the longest place to go to Tuk Tuk. It's a dry season, so it's nice to see the relief because there's no water at all. It was a ruin because I thought I had to cover my knees, but I could wear shorts.
This package only includes transportation from the waterfall to your hotel. The driver was very helpful and friendly. However, once you enter the forest, you have to explore on your own as there is no guide provided. It would have been better if a guide had been included to assist visitors inside the forest.
it take almost 2 hours to reach from siem reap city, very dusty along the journey, please bring a mask if you decide to take a tuk tuk to far distance, nice place after too many temples visit. please go through the liver for thousand lingas and waterfall otherwise you will see very little on the top.
it wasnt really a tour. the driver picks you up, drops you off and tells you to start walking. lol an angkor wat pass needs to be purchased ($37), making it quite pricey. the hike was very nice though. there are no guides, unless you avail of one, and no paved paths, in fact, there is no "clearly" marked path. if the path is blocked, then it's not the right way. there were several times when I doubted whether or not I took the right path but I ended up where I was supposed to be. the river at the top was beautiful; carvings were amazing. the adventurous wanderer in me was deeply satisfied.
