Siem Reap Angkor Wat Sunrise Full-Day Small Group Tour

The sunrise tour of Angkor Wat is an absolute must-do for anyone visiting Siem Reap. Our tuk-tuk driver arrived promptly, though there was a minor mix-up as he initially waited at a different hotel due to a misplaced Google Maps pin. Despite this, we were on the road by 5 AM and headed straight to the ticket office to get our Angkor passes. We reached Angkor Wat just in time to witness the breathtaking sunrise, which, luckily, was later than usual due to the winter season, around 6:30 AM. Watching the sun slowly rise behind the iconic temple was nothing short of magical and surreal—a truly unforgettable moment that felt like stepping back in time. Afterward, our ever-friendly and cheerful tuk-tuk driver guided us to several other temples, allowing us to explore at our own pace. He was incredibly accommodating and made the entire experience seamless and enjoyable. We decided to head back early because the combination of heat and exhaustion had taken its toll on us. Nonetheless, the tour was a fantastic way to experience the beauty and grandeur of Angkor’s ancient temples. I highly recommend this tour to anyone looking for a memorable and magical way to explore this UNESCO World Heritage Site.

This was an unforgettable experience. The tuk tuk driver was very friendly however, he could not speak a lot of English. I thought that the tuk tuk could go inside the locations but it is only for getting to and from different parts i.e Angkor to Ta Prohm. The ticket to enter is sold separately so be prepared to pay £27, in dollars that was about $35. Overall it was worth the trip. PS the security guard at Ta Prohm was great, he gave us a minitour guide and took some great pictures of us 😊

So happy to have booked this tour! Our guide was good in communicating and was very accommodating. He told us facts about Angkor Wat even though it wasn’t part of the tour we availed. I like how you can customize your itinerary because you get to have your own private tuktuk. Such an experience especially seeing the sun rise on the amazing Angkor Wat.

My Tuktuk driver, E Chang, was punctual to pick me up at 4.30am at my hotel. He was more introverted & understood simple English. He brought me to different temples & allowed me to have my own space! Towards the end of the trip, he offered me a few different tours but I was quite tired. He kindly sent me back to the hotel before 12pm.

Very impressive, the tuk tuk driver is very punctual, come on time, and suggest alot of spot to go, and every spot I done, he will give me the mineral water and the wet tissue

Our tuktuk driver was very good in English, so communication was very easy. He also provided us with bottled waters in between travels to different temples. He also checked on us if we’re still okay with going to the temple he would like to recommend next given that it was very hot during our tour. Overall, it was convenient and great value for the price we paid for.

I enjoyed this tour because not only did I have a private tuk tuk driver throughout the day, I also went at my own pace. Klook takes the hassle out of finding a full day tuk tuk driver. I finished the tour by 2pm which was nice because it was a long day after the epic adventure of seeing the sunrise over Angkor Wat. My driver Mr. Ke was very kind, waited for me with patience and told me where to go and where to meet him after each temple run. I wasn’t provided water bottles which was a bummer but did not hinder my overall experience. I did however randomly have another driver that picked me up at my hotel exactly on time at 430am and waited until 730am after I walked Angkor Wat at my own leisure and then handed me to another driver (didn’t bother me at all). Highly recommend this tour if you’re looking to not only see the “main” temples, sunrise over Angkor but go at your own pace. I felt like I had way more freedom to wander and explore rather than a join in group tour but lacked the verbal history lesson. I enjoyed this tour very much as I did this my last day in Siem Reap (I also did the join in group tour of Banteay Srei the day before). Definitely recommend this private tuk tuk circuit!! Don’t forget to tip!!

Our driver came on time at our hotel and he was very friendly and approachable. He even brought a cooler with bottles of water and offered us water every time we finish visiting a temple. Angkor Wat is so beautiful! Super worth it! Although when we came there was a half marathon going on which doubled the number of people in the place.

Catching the sunrise at Angkor Wat was absolutely magical—definitely a must-do! I booked a private tuktuk tour for the Small Circuit and really appreciated the flexibility. Compared to the usual join-in group tours, this one gave me the freedom to explore the temples at my own pace and take breaks when needed. Neang, my tuktuk driver, was quiet and a bit shy, but he was very helpful and always ready when I needed to move to the next stop. The weather was extremely hot and exhausting, so I ended up skipping a couple of temples on the list—but that’s the beauty of this private setup, you can adjust based on how you feel. Overall, a really good experience and well worth it if you prefer a slower, more personal visit around the Angkor temples.
