Things to do in Jiuzhai Valley National Park

Everything was great. Our driver, Master He, took really good care of us throughout the journey. We did have a bit of a hiccup when our journey was delayed due to a road accident, which meant our time touring Jiuzhaigou Scenic Area was cut a little short. However, Master He kindly rebooked our train tickets so that we could spend more time enjoying the scenic area. We really appreciated his thoughtfulness and effort to make sure we could still enjoy our trip. I would recommend people to stay overnight as the journey is quite far.

Was looking for a fuss free and worry free 2D1N tour to Jiuzhaigou and Huanglong scenic area and picked this package on Klook. We were given clear instructions on when and where to meet, and were met at the Train station by our guide- 阿朵. She was energetic, really knowledgeable and friendly, her tips on which viewpoints to make time for and which are optional really helped make my experience great. We had sufficient time for all the stops, it did not feel rushed. For context, 我是来体验的，不是来打卡的。Both scenic areas were really gorgeous, do take the time to just admire. And as promised by our guide 阿朵，this tour had no forced shopping. Tip: take the cable car up to the Huanglong scenic area. it makes the visit much easier especially for older folks/people who are less mobile.

We are a group of five senior friends who traveled to Chengdu and Chongqing. this tour was amazing and exactly as detailed! There are extra fees as stated, but there’s tix for a local performance that is optional but very much recommended cuz it’s quite culturally enlightening. the comfy bus was v smooth and our tour guide 张晶晶导游 was so lovely n friendly. she had a way with words, incorporating questions that others asked into her group speech so everyone knows the details. she also told us many little details ie when to suit up for the cold, medications to take, how to adjust for the higher altitudes etc, things that I didn’t find when I was researching; I’m so grateful I decided to take a tour😮‍💨 There’s absolutely no pressure to buy anything, in fact we bought lots of snacks to share with each other and especially our tour guide, cuz she’s awesome and a crazily skilled photographer🤩🤩 love that she doesn’t smoke as well tbh, extra win imo Going in Apr means everything wasn’t as colorful BUT a lot less crowded too hehe~ might go again in Nov for the colors

I highly recommend this itinerary! After comparing several 3-day Jiuzhaigou and Huanglong tours, this one had the most detailed description. The high-speed train schedule was perfect, no early mornings or late returns. After experiencing it firsthand, I found that the actual trip perfectly matched the itinerary description. A special thanks to our guide, Xiao Ma, for their professional explanations and thoughtful service. The hotel's location was excellent, right next to the evening show venue, making it very convenient to attend performances. The pace on the first day was relaxed. I strongly recommend purchasing the uphill cable car ticket; it saves a lot of energy when exploring Huanglong. As for the dining, tastes vary, but overall it was quite good.

I brought my parents here. Traveling by high-speed rail is much less strenuous for seniors! In the past, it took a whole day just to get to Jiuzhaigou, but now we can leave Chengdu in the morning and arrive at the scenic area by noon. At Huanglong Scenic Area, we took the ropeway up the mountain (80 yuan/person for the ascent) and then slowly walked down to see the Five-Color Ponds. Four hours was plenty of time for the visit. On the second day, the sightseeing bus in Jiuzhaigou Scenic Area went directly to the core attractions, covering Shuzheng Valley, Rize Valley, and Zechawa Valley. We walked about seven to eight thousand steps daily, and my parents weren't tired. Jiuzhaigou in July is lush green, the waterfalls are spectacularly full, and the air is fresh with the scent of plants and streams. Staying two nights at a hotel at the gully entrance meant we didn't have to move our luggage, which was very convenient. My parents enjoyed the Tibetan dinner and even watched a Guozhuang dance. The tour guide didn't enter the scenic area with us, but they explained all the important tips for visiting beforehand, which made the trip quite hassle-free.

Travel dates: June 14-16. Today is the last day, and we've already started our journey back to Chengdu. Although the itinerary was a bit tight, the weather these past two days was truly excellent, making the effort worthwhile. Both the driver and the tour guide were great. Our guide was very lovely, providing excellent care and assistance. This was one of the most impressive and beautiful trips. This trip was very nice and amazing. Everywhere had incredible views.

I went with my daughter who had just finished her college entrance exams; she loves routes with breathtaking scenery like this. We crossed grasslands, snow-capped mountains, colorful ponds, and lakes in 5 days, and our eyes were constantly delighted. Flower Lake and the grasslands were at their most beautiful, with lush green and wildflowers everywhere, giving the impression of wind blowing through the grass revealing cattle and sheep. At Huanglong, the ropeway made going up and down easy, and while there was a lot of walking in Jiuzhaigou Scenic Area, the boardwalks were gentle, so even with my bad knees, I managed. The temperature at Siguniang Mountain's Shuangqiao Valley was cool, making it excellent for escaping the summer heat. Our guide noticed my daughter and I took many photos and actively helped us find more photo spots; my daughter absolutely loved the Tibetan clothing experience. There were indeed no shopping stops throughout the trip, which was very reassuring. The hotel in Jiuzhai that night had floor heating, which was important for a good night's sleep as it was still cool in June. Overall, I was satisfied; it's suitable for family travel.

Awesome trip plan, highly recommend! Jiuzhaigou is every bit as beautiful as people say. The accommodation and transport were all good, no complaints at all.
