Things to do in Kanchanaburi Province

Sawadee Cindy! Thank you for taking care of our needs, ensuring that we have a seat on the train and arranging the jeep Giraffe experience at the safari! We had an awesome trip to Kanchanaburi thanks to you! 👍👍👍

We had such a wonderful experience exploring Bangkok with our tour guide, Cindy! 🇹🇭❤️ Cindy was very friendly, accommodating, knowledgeable, and professional throughout the entire tour. She made sure we were comfortable, well-informed, and able to enjoy every place we visited. She also shared interesting stories and information about Bangkok that made our experience even more memorable. Thank you, Cindy, for your patience, excellent service, and positive energy! You truly made our Bangkok trip more enjoyable and special. We highly appreciate everything you did for us and would definitely recommend you to anyone looking for a great tour guide in Bangkok!

Traveling individually from Bangkok to Erawan Falls in Kanchanaburi seemed like too much hassle, so I opted for a Klook day tour and was very satisfied! Above all, Erawan Falls was truly wonderful. Due to time constraints, we only went up to Level 5, but we thoroughly enjoyed swimming and playing in the waterfalls at Levels 2 and 3. I brought aqua shoes, and they were incredibly convenient for both hiking and water activities, so I highly recommend them. The weather was initially beautiful, and I thought we were lucky, but then it suddenly poured rain as we were leaving, giving us the full experience of Erawan during the rainy season. Still, I was very relieved that the weather was good while we were swimming. It was much more comfortable to store our belongings at the bottom of the falls and only take essentials up with us. My husband, who loves swimming, really made the most of it! 😂 Jackie Chan is the best!!! However, if you want to slowly explore Erawan Falls up to Level 7 and fully enjoy swimming, the tour schedule might feel a bit rushed. If we go again, we'd like to take public transportation and spend a full, leisurely day at Erawan Falls. I recommend the Klook day tour for those visiting Kanchanaburi from Bangkok for the first time or for anyone who finds arranging transportation separately inconvenient. Especially if you plan to swim at Erawan Falls, be sure to bring your swimsuit and aqua shoes!

An unforgettable day trip from Bangkok! 🦒🚂 Highly recommend this tour to Kanchanaburi! Our guide was fantastic, sharing deep and touching historical insights about the Death Railway and World War II. Walking and riding along the historic wooden viaduct gave us a real sense of history. The absolute highlight, though, was the Safari Park! Feeding the animals was so much fun, and seeing the giraffes come right up and stick their heads into the window/car to grab food was an unbelievable, once-in-a-lifetime experience. Such a well-organized and memorable day out from BKK!

I knew exactly what it was we were going to see, my family did not so there are two perspectives captured here. I had already wanted to visit the Bridge over the River Kwai since I was in my teens by virtue of the film. It is very difficult to get to without a suggestion of staying over however time is short and it’s not the kind of place (in my opinion to do that). Getting there and back is the hard bit but Angie (our guide) and Mr Kim (our driver) made it all go very smoothly and Angie looked after our mixed group very well always making sure everyone was where they needed to be at the correct time. The itinerary was moved about to provide the best experience and we found our visit to the River Kwai Bridge was almost earliest as we made it before the mass of tourists. We then seen the war cemetery and Dearh Railway Museum (excellent and unfit for my family), followed by a train journey across the river Kwai and onward. A nice lunch with great views was then followed by Hellfire pass.

great tour! i just don’t like the upfront payment for photoshoot.

This was my second trip to Kanchanaburi. This time, because I was traveling with my parents, I opted for a private car hire and Route C. The Honda Accord served the three of us, so it was spacious and comfortable. Although the driver only spoke basic English, which was a slight limitation in his tour guidance, he was very friendly and helpful throughout the trip, which was very appreciated. Furthermore, we were allowed to decide how much time to spend at each stop, and even at the final stop on the River Kwai Bridge, he didn't rush us, allowing us to enjoy the scenery at our own pace. Highly recommended! Thank you, driver Mr. Phongsan!

Everything about this private tour for 2pax that we avail is a top notched. From our driver to your guide in the area plus the staffs and mahuot (caretaker of elephants) were all amazing. Each of them has their own life story and I wished we could do more to all of them but we can only give back so much. Thank you for this wonderful experienced with elephants from baby to grandma.

Super highly recommended! Our tour guide Katie was so accommodating and patient in helping us navigating our stops. She was so nice in answering our questions. We booked a private tour and it was so worth it because we had the entire car to ourselves and they were ok with picking us up and dropping us off at the hotel. The itinerary was so thoughtful too, we learned a lot about Thai history and culture and being able to wrap it all up with an afternoon tea session was the cherry on top. 💕
